Create: Ages

Create Ages is a mod I originally made primarily for myself. I felt that progression in vanilla Create wasn’t very engaging—it didn’t really encourage you to build component after component. What I wanted was exactly that kind of experience.

 

 

⚙️ What is Create: Ages?

Create: Ages is an addon for Create that introduces a structured progression system through distinct technological eras. Instead of having immediate access to all Create machinery, you'll advance through four unique ages, each unlocking new capabilities and components.

 

 

Create Ages — in this mod, you’ll need to build your production step by step.
I’ve added some blocks from Create Above and Beyond and certain mechanics from Create Stellar—basically, I brought everything together into one cohesive experience.

It all starts with crafting the basic Andesite Mechanism manually. To do that, you’ll need automation for wood and andesite, as well as lava and kelp.

After that, you use the mechanism in an assembler to create more advanced components, and from those, you can use a stonecutter to obtain all the core mechanisms from the original Create mod.

The same system applies to different progression stages:

  • Brass Age (advanced blocks and mechanisms)
  • Copper Age (fluids)
  • Zinc Age (storage)

I also plan to add a Computing Age for integration with AE2 or Refined Storage.


 

Also, in the latest update, I added a full dependency on my mod Create OreDoubling, because without it, Create Ages doesn’t reach 100% efficiency. OreDoubling includes recipes that are tightly integrated, and I noticed that many people simply aren’t aware of this.

It’s required for melting ores into liquid metals, which are then used in automation recipes within Create Ages.

 

 

 

My next goal is to make your factory (production and automation) truly continuous—so your machines and resources work for you instead of just sitting in overfilled storage.

 

I’m working on a system similar to Satisfactory or Modulus Factory, where you’ll need to assemble packages of mechanisms or resources, send them through new blocks, and earn points in return. With these points, you’ll be able to buy anything from a shop.

 

Additionally, using special blocks, you’ll be able to automate the delivery of items from the shop using those same points.
