Description

Created for the Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons 3 modpack

Currently adds:

  • 12 new weapons
  • 1 bow
  • 1 crossbow
  • 2 shields
  • 5 artifacts
  • 2 curios
  • A way for pack devs to tag weapons to convert their attack damage to magic
  • Massive config for pack devs to change most values with
  • Support for BetterCombat, with some weapons having their own unique attributes/combos

There are no crafting recipes, and nothing spawns in loot. Pack devs will have to make them obtainable.

The following items have alt skins you can select in the client config (radweaponry-client.toml), which then saves a tag to your held item so others can see it:

  • Scorpion Blade - Minor variations
  • Soluna Blade - Vibrant version
  • Starhawk - Original Kingslayer sprite by Mastarin
  • Power Pole - Growing Staff from Minecraft Dungeons
  • Kalos - Royal purple variation
  • Thundercrack - Electric purple variation
  • Revenant's Edge - Green variation

Below is a list of the items added and their effects. Please note that any specified numbers are the original default values; they may not accurately reflect the values in the pack you are playing.

Weapons:

Hummingbird Fan (Sword, Dagger)

  • Comes in these colors: blue, orange, pink, purple, red, snow
  • Gust:
    • Attacks inflict Gust on hit for 10 seconds, stacking up to level 10.
    • Gust lifts the target periodically.
    • Critical hits apply two stacks.
    • Right-Click to launch nearby mobs with Gust upwards and away, dealing 2 indirect magic damage per stack (Cooldown: 5s).
    • Sneak Right-Click to launch yourself (Cooldown: 2.5s).
  • Chromatic:
    • Applies an on-hit effect based on color
    • Blue: Slowness II for 5s
    • Orange: Weakness II for 5s
    • Pink: Levitation for 2s
    • Purple: Poison II for 5s
    • Red: Ignite for 4s
    • Snow: Slowness II for 5s

 

Hydra Scythe (Sword, Scythe)

  • Hydra Poison:
    • Critical hits inflict Poison on hit for 5 seconds, stacking up to level 5 and 60 seconds.
    • Attacks deal 10% more damage per stack of Poison on the target
  • Poison Absorption:
    • Gain Poison immunity
    • Poison applied to you is converted to Regeneration
  • Venom Spit:
    • Right-Click to toss a Splash Potion of Poison (Cooldown: 120s)

Halbird (Sword, Halberd)

  • Clucky Strike:
    • 25% chance to deal double damage
  • Wingbreaker:
    • Deals 50% bonus damage to flying mobs

 

Sunspire (Trident, Spear)

  • Divine Blessing:
    • Grants Absorption V to allies and Absorption II to you when thrown at them
  • Endless Radiance;
    • The thrown spear is not consumed, pierces infinitely, and applies Glowing
  • Judgment of Light:
    • Deal 25% bonus damage to Undead; compatible with Smite

Scorpion Blade (Sword, Sickle)

  • Lethal Incision:
    • Right-Click to hurl a venom-coated blade, inflicting Poison IV and creating a lingering Poison II cloud
  • Way of the Spider:
    • Melee attacks inflict Poison II
  • Angel of Death:
    • Deals 50% bonus damage to poisoned enemies
  • Demon Core:
    • Combine with a Poison Potion in an Anvil to temporarily amplify Way of the Spider

 

Starhawk (Sword, Claymore)

  • Moon Blade:
    • Attacks deal magic damage
  • Spiral Dance:
    • Every third hit attacks all nearby mobs and grants Strength and Speed (Cooldown: 3s)
  • Mantle of Stars:
    • (Vanilla) Nighttime grants +50% increased healing and Speed
    • (Ars Nouveau) Nighttime grants +50% increased healing and Mana Regeneration

Cinderstorm (Crossbow)

  • Needle Fury:
    • Instantly shoots arrows (Cooldown: 0.5s, affected by Quick Charge)
  • Flameburst:
    • Shoots flaming arrows that inflict Slowness and explode in a small area
  • Marksman's Eye:
    • Arrows are perfectly accurate
  • Gearshift:
    • Compatible with Infinity and Power
    • Incompatible with Piercing
    • Shoots two arrows with Multishot

Power Pole (Sword, Custom Staff)

  • Extending:
    • Each consecutive attack temporarily extends the pole, increasing Attack Reach
    • Sneak Right-Click or deselect to retract
  • Flexible:
    • Gains Attack Speed as it grows
  • Sturdy:
    • High durability and 50% chance to ignore durability loss

Soluna Blade (Sword, Custom Claymore)

  • Piercing: 
    • Deals +1% bonus damage per point of Armor the target has
    • Deals +1.5% bonus damage per point of Armor Toughness the target has
  • Hand and a Half:
    • If offhand is empty, +25% damage, -10% attack speed
    • If offhand is not empty, -10% damage, +25% attack speed
    • (Better Combat): Cannot dual-wield with weapons
  • Sol's Blessing:
    • During the day, gain Strength and Fire Resistance
  • Luna's Blessing:
    • During the night, gain Speed II and Night Vision

Rhythmweaver (Bow)

  • Tempo Release:
    • Fires at full speed when the minimum charge is reached
    • Plays a note on release corresponding to how long it was drawn
    • Low notes deal 0.8x damage, high notes deal 1.2x damage
    • Quick Charge decreases the time needed to reach higher notes
  • Tuning:
    • Combine with tunable note block sound modifiers in an Anvil to change the instrument played
  • Monophonic Melody:
    • Stores the last 3 notes played to form a melody, times out in 10 seconds
    • Completing a melody replays the sequence and triggers an effect
    • ♫ Crescendo (LMH): Strength & Haste II to party (Cooldown: 5s)
    • ♫ Decrescendo (HML): Slowness & Weakness to nearby mobs (Cooldown: 5s)
    • ♫ Harmony (MLH): Heals party and grants brief Regeneration (Cooldown: 10s)
    • ♫ Discordance (MHL): Disorient & knockback nearby mobs (Cooldown: 5s)
    • ♫ Staccato (HLM): Fires a triple-shot burst (Cooldown: 5s)
    • ♫ Legato (LML): Grants Resistance to party (Cooldown: 10s)
    • ♫ Cadence (HHL): Deals magic damage to nearby mobs in pulses (Cooldown: 10s)
    • ♫ Resonance (MHM): Repeats the last melody and empowers it (Cooldown x2)

Thundercrack (Sword, Custom Hammer)

  • Crushing Blow:
    • Critical hits apply Slowness II for 5 seconds
    • Critical hits deal +50% more damage
    • Disables shields
  • Lightning Strikes Twice:
    • Critical hits cause a lightning strike to occur after 0.5s, dealing 25% of the attack's damage (Cooldown: 5s)
    • Channeling increases range by 50%
    • During a thunderstorm, this attack strikes an additional time
  • Aftershock:
    • After killing a mob, deal 5% of its max health as damage to nearby mobs after 0.5s

Kalos (Sword and kinda Bow, Custom Sword)

  • Gunblade:
    • Can be used to automatically shoot hitscan bullets
    • Possesses a capacity of 12 energy bullets
    • After using all ammo, reload for 3s
    • Reloads automatically after not firing for 10s
  • Run and Gun:
    • Reduces the movement speed penalty while using
    • Melee attacks grant Speed II and Jump Boost
    • Ranged attacks grant Strength and Haste II
  • Gearshift:
    • Multishot increases ammo capacity by 12
    • Piercing increases range by 10%
    • Channeling increases ranged attack speed by 33%
    • Efficiency increases reload speed by 0.2s
    • Quick Charge decreases auto-reload delay by 2s

The Questing Sword (Sword)

  • Resolve's Edge:
    • Defeating a boss with this weapon increases its damage
    • (FTBQuests): Completing quests increases this sword's damage
    • (FTBQuests): Completing chapters increases this sword's damage
  • Pilgrim's Rest:
    • Sneak Right-Click to create a temporary marker at the target location that you can teleport back to within 30m (Cooldown: 60m)
  • Wisdom Seeker:
    • 50% chance for 2x experience drops when defeating mobs
  • Cartographer's Mark:
    • Automatically adds waypoints to visited structures

Revenant's Edge (Sword, Custom Katana)

  • Momentum Strike:
    • Attacking grants up to 8 momentum stacks, which increase Attack Speed by 5%
    • At 8 stacks, gain 50% movement speed
  • Sword Art: Swift Riposte:
    • Holding use assumes a defensive stance, deflecting projectiles and blocking attacks
    • Reduced movement speed penalty while defending
  • Sword Art: Unending Hatred:
    • Releasing use while aiming at an entity triggers a swift dash attack (Cooldown: 25s)
    • You are immune to damage for 0.5s after activating
    • Deals damage equal to 3 sword strikes
  • Gearshift:
    • Quick Charge increases maximum Momentum stacks by 1
    • Multishot increases Unending Hatred strike count by 1

 

 

Shields:

Gilded Armguard (Light Shield)

  • Brute's Rebuke:
    • After blocking a melee attack, your next attack within 1.5s deals 1.5x damage
    • If your weapon is loved by piglins or is repaired with gold, it deals an additional 1.5x damage
  • Deflector:
    • Blocking a projectile redirects it to where you are looking
  • Battle Bracer:
    • No movement speed penalty while blocking
    • Any blocked attack will breach the shield, putting it on cooldown
  • Golden Bastion:
    • Increases armor by 2 when worn
    • Increases armor toughness by 2 when worn

Ravenous Maw (Heavy Shield)

  • Devouring:
    • Blocking an attack causes the shield to bite the attacker, dealing damage that scales with your health, armor, and armor toughness (Cooldown: 0.2s)
    • Defeating a mob with this attack grants you Saturation for 2s and Strength I for 5s
  • Spice of Life:
    • Each in-game day, the shield craves a new mob
    • Devouring desired mobs grants Saturation for 5s, Regeneration II, and Resistance III for 30s
    • Feeding the shield its desired mobs permanently strengthens it
  • Second Helping:
    • If the shield has been fed today, Devouring attacks will deal 1.5x damage
    • Can be repaired by feeding it food items
  • Living Bulwark:
    • Increases max health 5 when held
    • Increases armor by 4 and armor toughness by 2 when held, increased with Spice of Life
    • You are unable to move while blocking

 

 

Artifacts (Offhand Items):

Hemovial

  • Life Siphon:
    • Absorbs life from mobs you kill, storing up to 10 essence, which gives 0.5 max health
    • Mending doubles capacity
    • Life Leech from Rad Enchants gives a 10% chance per level for an additional charge
  • Blood Feast:
    • Press [Use Artifact Keybind] to consume stored essence, restoring health and granting Regeneration and Saturation
  • Final Transfusion:
    • If you would die with full essence, consume all charges to survive instead (Cooldown: 60s)

Pitcher Canteen

  • Potion Storage:
    • Place similar potions into this to store the effects and drink them later
    • Pour into a filled cauldron to empty

Heart of Fire

  • Rekindling:
    • Killing ignited mobs grants up to 12 charges; Fire Protection increases the max capacity by 2 per level
    • 5 charges: All attacks ignite targets
    • 10 charges: Gain Fire Resistance
    • Max charges: You are constantly on fire
  • Blazing Halo:
    • Press [Use Artifact Keybind] with max charges to expend all charges, blasting nearby enemies with a burst of fire that deals 1 damage per charge (Cooldown: 20s)
  • Heatseeking:
    • Every 5s: blasts up to 2 nearby mobs for 4 damage; Flame increases max targets by 1 and damage by 2
  • Fury of the Flame:
    • Increases damage to burning targets by 20%
    • Fire Aspect increases this bonus by 5% per level
    • While on fire, this bonus is doubled
    • (Ars Elemental) Also increases Fire spell damage by 25%

Jade Void Core

  • Phasing:
    • Press [Use Artifact Keybind] to phase through the void, granting increased mobility and decreased attack power
    • Grants Weakness X, Invisibility, Resistance V, Jump Boost V, and Speed III for 5 seconds (Cooldown: 10s)
  • Abyssal Gaze:
    • Locking eyes with a target grants you Blindness, Speed V, and Strength II for 10s, and gives the target Glowing and Slowness II (Cooldown: 20s)
    • Barehanded attacks deal 2x damage to the target during Abyssal Gaze
  • Into the Void:
    • When falling into the void, gain Elytra Flight and Regeneration X
  • Eerie:
    • Endermen ignore your gaze

 

Curios:

Bestiary Charm (Charm)

  • Exploit Weakness:
    • Increases damage dealt to mobs based on how many times you've killed them
  • Pattern Recognition:
    • Reduces damage taken from mobs based on how many times you've killed them
  • Dismantling Proficiency:
    • Grants a chance for increased Looting for mobs based on how many times you've killed them
  • (Vanilla): Keep in inventory to receive bonuses
  • (Charm Curio Slot present): Equip to Charm slot

Viper Amulet (Necklace) *Requires Curios loaded to function

  • Poison Accelerant:
    • Increases poison damage that nearby mobs receive
  • Poison Immunity:
    • Grants immunity to Poison

 

Magic Damage conversion tag:

For Pack Devs, you can add weapons to the radweaponry:convert_to_magic tag

Handles when Players and Mobs use the weapon, directly modifying the DamageSource by using a mixin on Player and Mob classes

Integrates with BetterCombat, so it can properly detect weapons during dual-wielding

Known Incompatibilities:

0.7-0.7d (Patched in 0.7e+): Engimatic Legacy – Uses an unjustified @Redirect on MobEffect.applyEffectTick’s poison damage, which hijacks the call site and causes hard incompatibility with any mods modifying poison mechanics, including Rad Weaponry's Viper Amulet.
