The Dread Tamer is a compact but powerful expansion for the Born in Chaos ecosystem, allowing players to perform dark rituals to bind the most vicious predators of the night to their will. No longer just a victim of the shadows, you can now harness the primal ferocity of the Dread Hound to serve as your personal guardian.

Key Features:

• Dark Taming: Use the remains of the fallen (Rotten Flesh) to bind a wild Dread Hound. But beware—your soul can only sustain one such beast at a time.

• Persistent Companionship: Your hound is linked to your soul. If it falls behind or you travel across the world, it will emerge from the shadows to find you.

• Dynamic Command System: Use the /hound command suite or simple interactions to control your beast:

  • Follow: The hound stays at your heel, ready to strike.

  • Stay: Commands the beast to guard a specific location.

  • Wander: Allows the hound to prowl the nearby area freely.

• Aggression Management: Toggle your pet's bloodlust through multiple modes:

  • Hostile: Attacks anything that isn't a friend.

  • Passive: Only attacks what you hit, or defends you when you are struck.

  • Full Passive: The beast holds its hunger entirely, acting only as a companion.

• The Peace Treaty: Designed for compatibility with the Nightmare Stalker taming mod. Your Dread Hounds and Stalkers will recognize each other as pack-mates, ensuring your dark army never turns on itself.

• Shadow Respawning: Even if your hound vanishes, it can be called back to your side instantly using /hound summon.

Technical Commands:

• /hound summon - Call your hound to your exact position.

• /hound hide - Dismiss your hound into the shadows (saves its health/name).

• /hound fix - Resets the hound's logic if it becomes stuck or unresponsive.

• /hound mode <hostile|passive> - Quickly adjust the pack's behavior.
