Catalyst

Fabric performance mod for Minecraft. Speeds up rendering, resource loading, and block entities. Works with Sodium.

Features (may change over time)

Rendering

• Modern GL Context: forces Minecraft to use OpenGL 4.6 and applies core profile instead of the default outdated OpenGL 3.2
• Async Meshing: chunk meshes get built off thread, prioritized by distance to camera
• Mesh Cache: only rebuilds chunk meshes when something actually changed
• Render Batch: groups draw calls with matching render state together
• Render Cull: skips sign text and beacon beams at distance, turns off beacon beam rotation

Resources

• Async Reload: resource packs reload in the background, no freeze

General

• Enable Catalyst: turn the whole mod on or off
• Debug Mode: spits debug logs into the console

Everything is toggleable from the config screen. Get to it through Mod Menu, Sodium's config, or the Catalyst button on the title screen.
