Crystcursed Dragon (Dragon Survival Add-On)

📜 About

The Crystcursed Dragon is an addon for Dragon Survival, adding a new type of dragon. The concept originates from the main attribute of my OC, "Crystcursed Magic," which is imagined as a type of curse that has not been fully tamed.

🪶 Features

• Built for Combat – The dragon's skill set is designed specifically for combat. When fully upgraded, these skills can be highly effective against large groups of ground mobs.
• New Casting Experience – Many active skills feature branching options (casting while standing or crouching will trigger different effects), offering more flexibility in combat.
• Fine-Tune Your Magic – There's a special active skill that summons a settings panel, allowing you to fine-tune certain behaviors of active skills (e.g., switching skill branches, toggling block-breaking capabilities).
• Species Defect – The dragon's magic source is deeply tied to the curse. The curse obstructs the natural flow of magic, causing the dragon's mana to constantly leak out as crystals or dissipate into the air. The dragon must rely on other mana sources to replenish its power, or the curse will eventually start eroding the dragon's life when its mana runs out.

• Due to the complex logic behind the skills, it’s difficult to describe each skill's effect here. You can experience them after installation! :)
• This addon is still under development, so stay tuned!

📦 Installation

• You need to install Dragon Survival v2.0.40 or higher.
• You also need to install Geckolib.

  • Because I'm not very experienced with Java, most of the behaviors and effects in this addon are implemented via datapacks. The mod primarily complements those datapacks by providing features they cannot, such as registering new items, custom potion effects, and creative tab entries.

  • Fully Original Content: The Crystcursed Dragon species design, skill descriptions, balancing, datapack logic, and other assets fully created from scratch by me (including textures/UI elements) are my original work.
