portal combat system into your game. Throw a **Devil Eye**, summon a sinister portal,
and face down waves of hostile mobs — survive and be rewarded with rare loot, fail
and suffer punishing debuffs.

You'll find the eyes in **chests** (via loot-table injection) or as **mob drops**
from hostile mobs in the matching dimensions. Throw the eye and an animated portal
will open at a safe spot near you — and the fight begins.
### Waves, Waves, Waves
- **Easy (Overworld):** Zombies, Skeletons, Spiders, Witches, Pillagers, Creepers …
- **Medium (Nether):** Piglins, Magma Cubes, Blazes, Wither Skeletons, Hoglins, Ghasts …

A short breather is granted between waves. An **animated boss bar** shows wave
progress, remaining mobs, and portal status in real time.

## 🛠️ For Server Admins — the Real Reason to Install This Mod
Gateway of Doom was **built from the ground up for server admins**. Practically
**every number, every list, every mechanic** is tweakable — either through the JSON
config or live in-game via the `/doom` command. **No server restart required**
thanks to `/doom reload`.

Tab-completion for **all** commands, including mob types, effect IDs, loot tables,
and item IDs. Built-in `/doom drop … test` command lets you run up to 10,000
simulated rolls to verify your drop chances feel right — **without** ever spawning
a single mob.

## ❓ FAQ
**Does the mod work with other mob/loot mods?**
Yes. Chest loot injection uses the standard Fabric loot event, and you can add
loot tables from other mods as spawn sources for the eyes.
**Do players need the mod on the client too?**
Yes, for the portal renderer and boss bar animations.
**How do I change the configuration?**
Directly via the `/doom` command in-game (recommended), or by editing
`config/gateway_of_doom.json` and running `/doom reload`.
**Can I completely rebuild the waves?**
Yes — define your own mob lists per wave, change timers, HP/damage boosts, and
rewards. You can turn Easy into a nightmare or Hard into a tutorial.
