Realistic Steps

This mod was inspired off of the Better than Wolves feature where walking through grass slows you down. However, in this mod, more than just walking through grass effects your speed.

Walking over:
1. Grass

2. Dirt

3. Stone

4. Sand

5. Clay

(And more)

All effects your speed differently. i.e. grass will make you walk faster than walking on dirt.

Just like in Better than Wolves, walking through grass also effects your speed. However, not just grass, anything that isn't air that is at your feet, or even your face, makes you slower.

Realistic Steps uses tags like "realistic_steps:grass_tag" to efficiently detect what block you are walking on, and you can add your own blocks to those tags to make them get effected by Realistic Steps.

Not only does Realistic Steps make walking on or through different materials different, but rain also effects your speed. If it is raining, and there is nothing above you blocking the rain, you are slower!

Don't like how certain blocks or rain effect your speed? As long as your version is above 1.16.5, you can use the config file to change the speed of each block or feature!

The newest version of Realistic Steps should have removed the annoying bug that made view bobbing not work, but if you still run into this bug, please do not rage bait me in the comments, just leave the world and rejoin, that usually fixes it.

Also, keep in mind that this mod was created within Mcreator, which is low code, scratch-like coding. This means that there could be unintended compatibly, or server bugs. Excluding that, some mods, i.e. camera overhauled, can effect the camera, and make when you die, mess up your screen. This mod, in the past(before the latest release), has had some issues with view bobbing not working due to server-client desync. Now I don't know if there are any other problems that can occur, but some have said that their screen can get messed up like what happens with camera overhauled. From my knowledge, to fix it, just reinstall the mod, and it should fix it.
