Project TacZ NPCs introduces five fully-configurable non-player characters that operate within a dynamic faction system. Each faction features unique behaviors and loadouts, with every NPC randomly selecting from three distinct firearms suited to its role.
NPCs spawn naturally throughout the world. Designed for survival and wasteland-themed modpacks, this mod adds immersive, hostile encounters that bring life and danger to your world.
While currently in alpha, the mod is stable and actively evolving to support broader features and balance adjustments. As a personal development project, future updates may expand or shift the system to better fit evolving gameplay goals.
"Faction" types include: Hazmat Soldiers, Forest Soldiers, Shadow Soldiers, Juggernauts (HIGH HP), and Dark Wanderers.
WARNING: These NPCs are very dangerous, they can see very far away & will aggressively hunt you with combat maneuvering similar to that of a skeleton but much faster. Some fights and encounters may be near impossible to come out of alive. Some attempts to mitigate how deadly these NPCs are have been implemented but they're still a total menace. Sorry in advance!
Factions are hostile to each other by default and won't return friendly fire. (configurable)
Inaccuracy tuning settings are included for increasing or decreasing difficulty. (configurable)
Target firing delays to lower difficulty by default, no instant open fire. (configurable)
The current targeted version of this mod is TacZ 1.1.7
