Mist Biomes, adds 7 new biomes to Minecraft, these biomes are based on existing vanilla biomes. They all have one thing in common: Mist.

What is mist?

Mist is a mysterious fog that enshrouds certain Minecraft biomes, it prevents normal flowers from growing and more monsters are known to spawn in these biomes at night. (mob spawning not increased in 1.18.1, will be fixed in a later update).

Biomes:

The mod at present adds 7 biomes all based on existing vanilla biomes, all these biomes can be disabled using the mods config file:

Misty Desert
Misty Taiga
Snowy Mist Taiga
Misty Swamp
Misty Mushroom Island
Misty Badlands

Mist Project

This mod is a part of the Mist Project, which aims to be an ecosystem of mods that revolve around the concept of mist from the RPG Final Fantasy IX. The project consists of Mist core (A small mod that adds the code required for other mods to use the mist) and this mod, mist biomes which add basic vanilla mist biomes. There are other mods planned for the project that add unique monsters and structures to these biomes, as well as mods that integrate with other mods like Thermal Expansion and Thaumcraft!
