Craft Enchanted Golden Apples

This project restores the original Minecraft crafting recipe for Enchanted Golden Apples (also often called Notch/God Apples), which was removed back in version 1.9.

Very lightweight, supports all Minecraft 1.21 versions and now also 26.1!

Crafting Recipe

Surround an apple with 8 gold blocks in a crafting table!

The recipe will show up in your recipe book after you craft it for the first time.

Installation

Plugin (Paper, Spigot, Purpur)

1. Download the .jar file
2. Drop it into your server's /plugins folder
3. Restart your server

Datapack (Vanilla/Fabric/Forge)

Works on both singleplayer worlds and servers.

1. Download the datapack .zip file
2. Place it in your world's /datapacks folder
   • Singleplayer: .minecraft/saves/[WorldName]/datapacks
   • Server: [ServerFolder]/[WorldName]/datapacks
3. Run /reload ingame or restart your server
4. Check with /datapack list to verify.

Why does this exist?

The goal is to make enchanted golden apples more accessible again in vanilla minecraft - and not purely relying on loot. Great for SMP and survival servers.

• Add support for older versions (1.20.x, 1.19.x, etc.)
