Panthalassa is a Minecraft mod, inspired by Steve Alten's phenomenal "MEG" book series , that adds prehistoric aquatic creatures to your world! Within, prepare to find laboratory structures, containing portals to a subterranean, fully aquatic dimension, sealed off from our world for countless years... You will be required to use special vehicles to navigate this unique dimension, lest the inmense water pressure crush you to death! Board a Manta Ray Submersible Vehicle, or an Abyss Glider II, and brave the depths! If you are clever, you may just be able to lure these denizens to the Overworld, and keep them in fantastic enclosures!

Vision:

Panthalassa is envisioned as a "companion mod", meant to add side, optional content to your Minecraft world. There are no direct, practical benefits gained from progression in this mod. Rather, the benefits are purely aesthetic! You can capture these creatures and lead them to the overworld, and then keep them in enclosures, all for bragging rights!
