Armor Speed [Forge]

 


Armor Speed is a simple mod that makes armor slightly more realistic. With this mod installed, armor will now slow you down! It's a simple mod that changes how you play Minecraft. "Maybe sacrificing some speed for some protection might not be worth it...". This mod would perfectly fit in a RPG or "hardcore" modpack.

🛡️ New Mechanic: Heavier Armor

 

🛡️ Armor will now slow you down (depending on the total amount of armor points you have).

x3 Armor Points: Speed Decreased by 15%
x9 Armor Points: Speed Decreased by 30%
x16+ Armor Points: Speed Decreased by 45%

This mechanic completely changes the way a player armors themselves. This mod will now prevent players from just wearing the best armor in the game, they will now have to put much more thought in the armor they wear or they will be punished with a speed decrease, which could give a huge disavantage in combat. There's tons of combinations of armors possible (and even more with modded armors). On top of that, this mod gives a purpose to Speed potions and makes them more useful in combat.

This mod supports modded armors.

The mod is now 100% configurable! Check out the armorspeed-config-common to configure!
