Nostalgia

Overview

This mod is primarily a "liminal spaces" mod adding several dimensions known as Nullspaces, places stuck in the past that are all too familiar yet unrecognizable as well. There is a narrative within the Nullspaces, with text chats and secrets that reveal the message and theme of the mod.

Features

This mod contains 5 Nullspaces right now, with 11 total planned, plus a few secret ones ;)

Nullspace 1 - Island

Nullspace 2 - Village

Nullspace 3 - Screen Saver

Nullspace 4 - Stronghold

Nullspace 5 - Strip Mines

To travel to them you must find Glitch Stone/Grass, which is pretty rare found from y=0 to y=128, touching it or mining it will send you to either the first or second Nullspace. As you travel through the Nullspaces sometimes you'll be sent backwards through Nullspaces or even skip some Nullspaces entirely, tread carefully, you are not alone in these places.

We would also like to add some sort of reward for traveling through the Nullspaces, We are starting to brew a few ideas now, but any ideas are welcome on the Discord.

Configurable

This mod is quite configurable, you can disable the Titles, Subtitles, Chat Messages, and Spawnpointing in the Nullspaces. More importantly you can also change the mode from Nonlinear to Linear, making it so that the Nullspaces lead to each other in order and will not cause you to go backwards or skip Nullspaces.

Recommendations

It is highly advised against running this mod with shaders as they tend to remove the fog.

Also having some sort of dynamic lighting system for some of the darker Nullspaces.

The Future

We plan to add 11 total Nullspaces that will lead to each other, we still need to add;

Nullspace 6 - Server

Nullspace 7 - Library

Nullspace 8 - Hell

Nullspace 9 - Diamond House

Nullspace 10 - River

Nullspace 11 - Stairway to Heaven

We also plan to add Entities for several of the Nullspaces, as well as some items/blocks as reward for traveling through the Nullspaces, plus some bonus secret Nullspaces.
