Description

Invasion of The Shadows is a part-horror PvE mod that adds a new hostile faction - Shadow Universe, with lots of entities attacking your world. Will you be able to stop them? Even if you do, there is a road to much higher power than you possibly could ever dream of.

DISCLAIMER: The mod has never been tested in multiplayer. For better stability, use Java 21 and 47.4.10 Forge version for Minecraft 1.20.1, otherwise there may be some crashes.

Disclaimer 2: Since current mechanics don't unlock all recipes, JEI is highly recommended. Geckolib is mandatory.

DISCLAIMER 3: It was inspired by several horror mods (Voided Reality, In The Corners, Wonderland.jar, Beyond The Skybox and etc.), so don't be surprised if you encounter some elements slightly smiliar to those from aforementioned mods.

What can be expected now:

-90+ entities, each with unique features. Some of them even have several states. They can be divided into seprate categories: Shadows, Cosmic Shadows, Anomalies, Celestial Machine Crew and Souls.

-20+ Dimensions, some of which are for bossfights, and the full home of Shadows - Shadow Domain! Also, a lot of them are actual planets - either Innerlands or Outerlands. Or Abstract Worls.

-30+ biomes, with lots of structures spawning on. Some are for decorations, but some have functionality. Some even contain lore!

-Plenty of mechanics, including but not limited to: Raid Party - prepare a wide flat area and try to repel the attack of Civil Federation. Also, some killed (by Converted Shadows) entities have a chance to turn into Covnerteds! And watch out for corruption that can take over your world. Also, the mechanics of alternative ways to get Cores are present as well.

-High-tech stuff for techno lovers - get immense benefits from technology. And a big chance to successfully defeating Shadows. Some gadgets may provide useful information about World Progression and locate potentially lethal Shadows.

-World Progression - the world can enter various stages, depending on the actions and events happening. The more corruption points Shadow Universe earns, the more the world descends into darkness.

-Five tiers of tools and armor.

-Codexes containing entries about all entities.

-chat system with not only Void Dude, but with Sentient and Master Cosmos as well!

-Voiceover for Voidful Shadows and The Sentient, and custom sounds!

-New crafting blocks, like Rocket Workstation or Core Reformator.

-Rockets and interplanetary exploration - jump from planet to planet in a big quest to stop Msatermind of The Cosmos.

-Retextured assets of original Minecraft - Shadow Universe has strengthened its hold.

-Surprise events - during some seemingly ordinary processes, Shadows may suddenly ambush you!

-lore and backstory.

-Some cool tunes, including bossfight themes, ambient, main menu music and so much more.

-configuration of some aspects, like The Void damage required to challenge Void Wire, Complex Shadows Chase Time Modifier or Display of welcome messages and even Iron Will Mode - a challenge for true hardcore lovers: can you complete the mod with 10 lives in total?

-And much more!

Upcoming Updates:

(Planned) Unforgotten Infinity Update - the expansion and completion of the 3rd chapter, with new half-liminal dimensions and more interactions with Celestial Machine. Also there will be some more additonal changes.
