Functionality

This mod limits the lighting of nether portals to only repaired ruined portals! All methods of lighting portals is included, such as:

• Flint & Steel
• Fire Charge
• Fireball
• Dispenser

Why do this?

Removing the ability to build nether portals encourages the player to form a relationship with the structure, potentially developing infrastructure or building around the ruined portal.

Config

Inside the config file for this mod, you can:

• Enable/disable a client-side message for attempting to light your own portal
• Customize the message for lighting your own portal
• Toggle whether portals inside of the nether need to be repaired ruined portals to activate

These features are helpful for modpack designers and server owners particularly.
