Skybound is a grappling hook mod that works on **moving objects**. Throw a hook at a Create contraption, a Sable airship, or just a vanilla wall. The rope tracks it, wraps around it, and doesn't fall apart when the world moves under you.
Runs on both **Fabric** and **NeoForge** (1.21.1).
It's a fork of [grapplemod-restitched](https://modrinth.com/mod/grappling-hook-mod-fabric), itself a Fabric port of [Yyon's Grappling Hook Mod](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/grappling-hook-mod).
## Why this fork exists
1. **Moving structures actually work.** Grapple onto a flying Create Aeronautics airship, a Sable sublevel, or an assembled Create contraption. The rope tracks position, rotation, and sublevel splits.
2. **Multiplayer is stable.** All hook and rope state lives on the server, so other players see what you see and nothing desyncs. Hooks survive a relog, too.
## What's in the box
- The classic Grappling Hook, with upgrades for motors, rockets, ender teleports, magnets, dual hooks, forcefields, and rope styles.
- **Long Fall Boots** so your knees survive the descent.
- Apply upgrades at any Smithing Table.
- A few advancements, four built-in resource pack variants (classic textures, hook-only, no-enchants, classic recipes), and a `useLimitedHook` gamerule for servers that want to restrict where hooks can attach.
## Compatibility
- **Create** — grapple onto contraptions
- **Sable** — grapple onto sublevels
- **Create: Aeronautics** — rides on the Sable physics engine
