Description

Chef’s Delight [Fabric] — Farmer's Delight Villagers

Transform your villages into culinary paradises! An official add-on for Farmer's Delight that introduces new culinary professions and structures to your Fabric world.

🍳 What does the mod add?

The mod transforms village dynamics by adding two specialized culinary professions, featuring naturally generated structures that blend into regional biomes:

Profession	Workstation	Trading Focus
🧑‍ Cook	Skillet	Basic ingredients, utensils, and quick snacks.
👨‍🍳 Chef	Cooking Pot	Epic feasts and gourmet dishes (e.g., Roast Chicken, Honey Glazed Ham).

🗺️ Structures & Biomes

Village houses spawn organically using the jigsaw generation system across multiple biomes:

🌾 Plains
🏜️ Desert
🌲 Taiga
🌴 Savanna (Chef and Cook houses — New!)
❄️ Snowy / Tundra (Chef and Cook houses — New!)

⚙️ Configuration & Mod Menu (New in 1.0.6!)

JSON Configuration: The mod now uses config/chefsdelight.json (replacing the old .properties system), complete with friendly default weights and comments inside the file.
Mod Menu Support: Configure spawn weights easily via the gear icon in Mod Menu! A clean grid of sliders (0–20 per biome) lets you adjust everything in-game without needing Cloth Config. (Changes apply when you re-enter a world).

Structure Generation Tip: Weight 0 disables a house; the maximum weight is 150. If you use other structure-adding mods, generation weights can be adjusted freely without affecting other pools.

⚠️ Important Dependencies

For Minecraft 1.21 & 1.21.1 (Fabric): Requires the Farmer's Delight Refabricated mod (version 1.21.1-3.3.6+refabricated or newer) to work properly.
For Versions Prior to 1.21: Requires [Deprecated] Farmer's Delight [Fabric].

🤝 Compatibility & Add-ons

Make your world even livelier with these compatibility options:

Repurposed Structures Compat

ChoiceTheorem's Overhauled Village (CTOV) Compat

🧪 Compatibility & Testing with Other Mods

Numismatic Overhaul: Not working with Minecraft version 1.18.2 (attempts to configure trade replacements via the wiki instructions were unsuccessful). Working properly with Minecraft version 1.19.2.
Other Village Mods: Additional testing is still needed with other mods that generate houses in villages, such as More Villagers and VillagersPlus.
