Convenient Things

This mod is my first steps with Fabric Loader playing around with the possibilities of the API.

At the moment the following features are included in the mod:

Cobblestone Generator directly inspired by Tiny Progressions

Crucible requested block that generates lava. Obviously a completely new concept that has not at all already been invented by Ex Nihilo.

Resource Plants simplifying the idea of mods like Mystical Agriculture

Charms are items that grant their effect for as long as they're kept in inventory. (I've first seen them in Diablo 2.)

Sickles to harvest and immediately replant mature plants in one swing.

Requirements

This mod is written for the Fabric Loader and requires the Fabric API!

Since version 0.5.2, it also makes use of LibCapableData (LibCD)!

Remarks

At the moment there is only a build for Minecraft 1.15 and onwards. I don't think, I will port it back to 1.14, too.

I highly recommend Roughly Enough Items to see the recipes. But you can always visit the wiki to see them, too.

Good News, Bad News

The good news is that the reason why I started ConvTh no longer holds. I always expected some one to create a dedicated resource growing mod. This has happened with Mystical Agriculture: Refabricated, including growth crystals. I highly recommend to give it a try.

My idea with charms has been surpassed with mods like Gobber. Also, their pixel art looks stunning!

The bad news is that porting this mod from 1.15.x to 1.16.x took a long time because I first had to wait for dependencies to move on. The code upgrade included some minor tweaks with the Fabric API. But it looks like 1.17 will result in a complete rewrite. I'm not sure I want to do that. I know for sure that I don't have the time to do that, at least not in 2021.

As of now, mid 2021, I plan to retire ConvTh. If I ever pick it back up, I will most likely not write a mod with many small tweaks, but many small mods with one feature each.

Therefore, there will be no version for Minecraft 1.17!
