The datapack adds old villages from version 1.13 - as new structures.
Villages currently only spawn in plains, but support is planned for all biomes where they should be generated.
Some houses have workstations for villagers or beds.
I recommend using the Programmer Art Resource Pack.
Stairs to the houses work too! (It was hard work…)
The blacksmith obviously has his own loot chest.
