Thana's Mekanism Lights
If you hate putting light source every 3 blocks this mod is for you. This mod adds mekanism style lights with light range depending on tier.
Lights are turned on/off by right click while crouching with empty hand or by using redstone.
Config
Power Consumption, light range and how often light recalculating happens can be configured to your liking in config file.
Usually (%appdata% -> .minecraft -> config -> thanasmekanismlights.properties)
