Riding Utilities

 This mod adds two items.

Lasso

This item allows you to mount just about any mob in the game, including modded entities. Hold Right Click while riding to move in the direction you're facing. You can even ride hostile mobs! However, your mileage may vary, as they tend not to like being ridden much.

Riding Whip

The Riding Whip is an item that gives your mount a speed boost (and has a cool-down for re-use). There are three speed tiers, each one advancing the more frequently you use it while riding your mount. Though be careful not to overuse it! Any mount that bucks you off will be too riled up to ride again for a few seconds (and you should replace any whips with low durability or they could have negative effects on your mount).

This mod also allows your mount (including horses) to swim through water while you remain on their back!

Just about all options are toggleable in the config, and there's now an in-game config screen. On Fabric it shows up in ModMenu (optional), and on Forge/NeoForge it's the Config button in the mods list. Server config overrides client configs.

There's also a separate whitelist/blacklist file (ridingutils-mobs.json) if you want to control exactly which mobs can and can't be ridden. Server enforced as well!

(The Fabric version no longer needs Owo Lib in 2.0 update. Only the Fabric API is required)

- Added three tiered speed levels when using the riding whip consecutively: spamming it now has drawbacks. It shouldn't be too hard to time however

- Horses can now swim while being ridden. Toggle-able in the config!

- Riding crop mechanic while in water has been changed. It'll give you a boost if your mount is sinking, at the cost of double the cool-down!
