**MOD REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING DEPENDANCIES

GECKOLIB PLAYER ANIMATOR EPIC CORE API CURIOS API [BASIC INFO]**

This mod adds new mobs and features ive thought up, focusing on quality over quantity.

Each mob is designed to have its own unique uses and purposes, all hostile mobs in the mod have custom attacks and combat music, and all passive mobs have uses that dont involve killing them for drops.

Most info on how to interact with the mobs and their features can be found through the advancements tab.

I plan to continue to update this mod with new features as i think of new mobs and ideas.

At the moment the mod has:

4 hostile mobs 4 passive mobs If you have any suggestions for features let me know :3

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ALL MOBS AHEAD!

[ITEMS]

[ENCRUSTED SHIELD]

The encrusted shield is a shield that deals thorns damage to attackers but is temporarily disabled this shield has 2 custom enchants

Brittle Barbs - This enchant gives a flat damage increase to the shield.

Fortitude - This enchant increases the amount of hits the shield can take before its disabled.

[DRIPSTONE SPEAR]

The Dripstone spear is a melee weapon that deals 7 damage and has a lunge ability that can be activated with a keybind, it is compatible with most sword enchants but also has 2 enchants of its own.

Velocity - Increases the damage of the lunge ability.

Earths Power - Replaces the lunge with a large dripstone spike that damages enemies and launches enemies into the sky, this also scales with Velocity.

[NIGHTMARE SABRE]

The Nightmare Sabre is a late-game sword that requires netherite, decompiled monoliths and a lightless core to make. on top of attacking like normal the Nightmare sabre has a custom 3 hit attack cycle which stacks with base 6 damage of the weapon, the first 2 hits create a slash infront of you dealing extra damage, the 3rd hit creates a shockwave that deals AOE damage, this item also has 2 custom enchants.

Nightmare Aspect - Increases the damage of the custom attacks.

Repulsion - Causes the AOE to repel mobs away.

[DECOMPILED CORE]

The Decompiled core allows the player to perform a directional airdodge when hitting a keybind and is my personal favorite item in the mod.

[MUD BARRIER]

When hitting the defensive talisman keybind you will gain a temporary mud barrier that blocks 1 hit of damage completely before needing to recharge.

[BILESTAINED THROWING KNIVES]

A melee and ranges weapon in one, deals 5 base damage and can be enchanted like a sword.

The knives can be thrown at enemies, this doesnt remove the knife from your inventory so its essentially a ranged weapon, these knives only do 3 damage by default but can be bumped up to 6 by applying the Velocity enchantment to the weapon.

If a knife is also held in the offhand, the player can hit the Weapon Ability Keybind to rapidly throw a flurry of knives before the ability is put on cooldown for about 5 seconds.

[BILESTAINED SCYTHE]

The Bilestained Scythe is a Late-game mold weapon that needs netherite to craft.

The Bilestained Scythe deals 12 damage but cannot be enchanted with sword enchants (thank geckolib items being dumb for that one) however the scythe is compatible with the enchant "evolution".

Hitting the Weapon Ability Keybind will cause the player to do an attack similar to the mold spores flail that deals immunity frame ignoring damage rapidly and allows the player to slightly hover forward, applying the evolution enchantment increases this abilities damage.

[BILESTAINED HAMMER]

 IM (M)OLD

This weapon deals 10 damage and can be enchanted with sword enchants.

Hitting the Weapon Ability Keybind causes the player to slam the ground, creating a shockwave that deals damage and launches enemies upwards.

[MOLDING ARMOR]

Molding Armor is inbetween iron and diamond and allows the player to inflict the molding effect.

[BIOSTEEL ARMOR]

Biosteel Armor is inbetween diamond and netherite but also allowd the player to inflict molding to enemies and when hitting the Armor Ability Keybind will deal damage 4 hits of damage using the saws on the back that cause no immunity frames to enemies infront of them.

[DEFORESTER]

The Deforester is a strong axe that chops all logs in a large area, basically having built in "tree capacitator".

[DARK HARVESTER]

The Dark Harvester is a scythe but not really a weapon although it deals good damage.

The Dark harvester is a hoe, it can till dirt and break leaves, but ontop of that it breaks plants and right clicks blocks in a 3x3 area making it useful for picking apples from apple trees and picking hearty roots.

[HOSTILE]

RAAAAAAGH CLANG CLANG CLANG

Eroded are a varient of skeletons armed with a spear and shield that appear in dripstone caves and eroded badlands.

Eroded will attempt to execute a 3 hit combo with their spear, lunging forward towards the player each time. Ocassionally when hit the Eroded will also go into a guard state causing the player to take thorns damage when trying to attack it, this can be disabled with an axe.

If the player attacks right before the eroded does they will parry the attack, leaving the eroded open for a long window of time.

When killed Eroded drop dripstone, pointed dripstone, encrusted bones and rarely a dripstone spear and encrusted shield.

[LIGHTLESS]

When the light is running low.

Lightless are hostile mobs that only appear during a full or new moon, when nearby a lightless black fog will creep in.

Lightless will ocassionally dash towards their target to close distance and attack with a quick 2 hit combo which doesnt trigger as many immunity frames allowing it to hit both times if not avoided.

Lightless can be dealt with more easily by putting down a light source, this will cause it to begin dying and slow its movement dramatically.

When killed the Lightless will drop Nightmare Fuel and rarely a Lightless Core.

With these items the player can craft a Nightmare Sabre and a Nightmare Lamp.

The nightmare lamp is a redstone and light block that launches mobs and players into the air with a shockwave when powered, this can be used for mob farms or elevators among other things.

[Decompiled]

Why do people keep calling me slop?

The Decompiled is designed to look like a typical ARG entity but doesnt act like one behaving as more of a rare miniboss.

The Decompiled spawns at deepslate layer and only 1 can exist at a time making them strong but decently rare to encounter.

The Decompiled has a larger attack pool than most mobs in the mod, having a basic punch, a dropkick which can send the player flying, and a backflip which it uses to back away from the player before strafing and firing a beam of energy at the player.

When nearby the player will also have a shader applied that causes a color shift.

When killed the Decompiled will drop anomalous thread and watchful obelisks, used for the Nightmare Sabre and a custom bauble, the Decompiled Core.

The Decompiled core allows the player to perform a directional airdodge when hitting a keybind and is my personal favorite item in the mod.

[SCULPTURE]

Illager Experiment Gone Wrong

Sculptures are idols made of various blocks that the illagers injected with souls from soul sand that only move when not looked at unless you attack them.

Sculptures spawn in dark oak forests, lush caves, swamps, mangrove swamps and soul sand vallys, having different appearances depending on where they spawn, they also spawn in raids.

Sculptures will become enraged when attacked, they will shriek and no longer freeze when looked at this shriek will also cause other nearby sculptures to go into rage mode.

They attack with a 4 hit combo, the first 3 hits are a basic punch with high range due to their long arms, the 4th hit is an upward swing that launches the player up unto the air.

Sculptures can only be damaged by other mobs or a pickaxe, after about 4 swings with a pickaxe against the Sculpture it will begin to crack and after 9 the sculpture will shatter and have a chance to drop its soul.

The sculptures soul can be used to craft a Clay Amalgam, if the amalgam is right clicked with a clay block below it and a carved pumpkin above it, it will spawn a friendly sculpture.

Friendly Sculptures will attack any nearby hostile mobs with the same combo they used on the player, but unlike iron golems will return to the place they were spawned when not in combat allowing for them to be used as guards.

Friendly Sculptures can be reinforced with clay blocks increasing their health from 50 up to 100, they also have slow passive regen that allows them to recover when idle. Their skin can be changed by clicking on them with clay, mud or soul sand.

[this mob also has compatibility with a mod called "Places" having a custom varient and being able to spawn in the mods dimension]

[MOLD SPORE]

MY BREAAAAAD!!

[Before we proceed lets go over what mold mobs are exactly as they have some unique mechanics about them.

Mold mobs are a faction of mob that exists exclusively around mold nests, these are stationary plantlike mobs that only spawn in rare underground nest structures and cannot respawn.

Mold mobs all inflict molding, an effect that cuts the targets immunity frames in half.

Mold nests grow from mold growths which are occasionally proceduces by an evolved mold mob exploding, more on evolved mold mobs later.]

Mold Spores are the most basic hostile mold mobs, they attack using contact damage and a special flail attack where they flail frantically while jumping into the air, each hit doesnt deal much damage but ignores immunity frames making fighting multiple very dangerous.

Mold Spores can evolve after killing 3 other mobs, once they do they enter an evolution state where they will seek out 3 other mold spores to absorb them and turn into an evolved mold mob.

On death they will drop some mold samples, used for most mold item crafting recipes including the mold blockset and biosteel smithing template and rarely crystalized bile, mostly used for mold gear crafting.

[MOLD AMALGAM]

Shoulda bought a higher rent apartment

[Hey its me, interrupting Rupter again here to explain to you what evolved mold mobs are

Evolved mold mobs are mobs created when 3 mold spores fuse after getting enough mob kills, they are strong and quick and drop very valuable crafting ingredients.

When an evolved mold mob kills 3 additional mobs they will fall to the ground, swell, and explode spreading the mold minibiome around them, this can result in more nests and some unique blocks, plants and even a new ore type.

Now back to the wiki entry.]

Mold Amalgams are common evolved mold mobs.

They attack using contact damage and spewing a potent acid at the player which ignores most immunity frames.

Upon Death they will drop the mold samples, crystalized bile, and most importantly Amalgamated Mold, a crafting ingredient used in Living Cores.

Amalgamated Mold can also be eated but i dont recommend it.

[MOLD RECEPTOR]

Banned from staring contests

Mold Receptors are flying evolved mold mobs.

Mold receptors attack by flying around with occasional bursts of speed which allow them to maneuver behind or to the sides of the player, after this they will usually charge a dash attack where they launch themselves at their target.

If a Mold Receptor hits a solid block during this dash it will comically splat against the surface and become temporarily stunned, this makes placing blocks infront of you before it dashes an effective way to take them out.

On death Mold Receptors drop the basic mold materials and Receptor Lenses, which are used to make Living Cores.

[MOLD ANOMALY]

SCP M.O.L.D has breached containment

Mold Anomalies are strange evolved mold mobs that packk a hefty punch.

Mold Anomalies are some of the toughest mold mobs, although slower than the others they have high defense and attack.

Mold Anomalies will attempt to hit the player with contact damage while spitting acid projectiles at at the same time, this makes them risky to approach in this state, However if not on cooldown the anomaly will charge a devastating shockwave attack that sends the player flying.

This may seem bad but this attack can be avoided by simply jumping or blocking with a shield, and while charging the mold anomaly cannot move or shoot projectiles leaving it open to attack.

On death Mold Anomalies drop the basic mold loot, and Anomaly Shells, these are used to craft Living Blades and Anomalous Pouches an upgraded boulker pouch that holds 2x more items.

mold anomaly

[MOLD MINCER}

Minecrafts Grim Reapah!

Mold Mincers are creeper-like evolved mold mobs armed with a crystalized bile saw.

Mold mincers will attempt to deal contact damage and will also use 2 special attacks.

They will activate their saw and point it at the player dealing 1 each tick damage with no immunity frames if the player is caught inside, while this attack is easy to escape its best to bait it out.

Mold mincers will also swing their saw wildly dealing 5 damage with each swipe, its best to back away from this attack as they can still move during it.

Upon death Mold MIncers drop the standard mold loot and Mincer Saws, used to craft living blades.

[PASSIVE]

Spriglets are nasty little creatures but happened to be the first mob added.

Spriglets spawn from sprouts that generate ontop of grass in most overworld biomes, these sprouts will not immediately grow and can be collected and replanted to relocate spriglets to a desired location.

[Flowering State]

Spriglets enter their flowering state if fed bonemeal.

In their flowering states spriglets will ocassionally pollinate nearby bone-mealable blocks including crops making keeping them in crop farms a good way to speed up their growth, if given more bonemeal in their flowering state spriglets will produce hearty seeds which grow into hearty roots.

Hearty roots are a great food source and also have a golden variant which provides temporary Health Boost.

[SOOT SCUTTLER]

I LOVE Soot Scuttlers but that isnt why your here.

Soot Scuttlers are small passive mobs that spawn around their nest in small rare structures.

Soot Scuttlers will wander about until they decide to begin digging in the ground looking for an item, after which you will see them scampering back to their spawn point to deliver said item to their nest. You can then open their nest or use a hopper to extract the items they've hoarded.

Scuttler nests can be picked up by mining them and Soot Scuttlers can be bucketed to relocate them, this also sets their home location to the location you place them.

While this item is usually either coal, soot or rarely an odd fossil but if you feed a Soot Scuttler a specific flavor of Soot Roll it will convert into the corresponding ore varient and have a chance to find said ore and return it to the nest when digging.

Soot rolls are a food item made of soot, wheat and sugar, they can be made into ore varients by combining them with ore, the ore varients are designed to be eaten by the scuttlers not you...

I love these things <3

[BOULKER]

Why does nobody ever mod in shulker mobs? whats with the shulker hate?

Boulkers are prehistoric shulkers which have a hard spined shell and LEGS! despite their size they can be bucketed because yes.

Remember that odd fossil from the Soot Scuttler section? while this is where that comes into use, by crafting it with slime, soot and encrusted bones the fossil can be restored into an odd egg.

When placed this egg will have a chance to crack every time it has a tick update, after cracking 2 times a baby Boulker will be born and wander around not doing much of interest until it grows up, once grown the Boulker can be utilized to its fullest potential.

Baby and grown Boulkers can be herded and commanded using a Boulker rattle. Right clicking a block with the Boulker rattle will cause Boulkers following you to roll at the location, destroying blocks and damaging enemies but temporarily stunning themselves in the process.

This can be a great way to mine out large areas underground to collect blocks or even stripmine for ores!

When a boulker hits a wall it has a chance to drop a Boulker Shell this item can be made into a Boulker Pouch a small storage item that fits 6 stacks of items inside and can be stored in the inventory similarly to a shulker box but easier to obtain early on.

[BOGEEPER]

Bogeepers are swamp creepers distantly related to Soot Scuttlers.

They wander around swamps and mangrove forests on long stilts made from brances which makes them seem taller than they actually are.

If you lead a Bogeeper to water, sand, or gravel it will pierce the ground with its stilts and uncover items, when digging in water will uncover fish and rarely fishing loot or junk, when digging in sand or gravel it will uncover various archaeology loot but they will scavenge less frequently than in water.

When scavenging in water they can find rich mud, which can be crafted into mud blocks or into a bauble called a Mud Barrier which puts a temporary shield on the player when hitting a keybind that blocks 1 hit of damage before needing to recharge.

if standing in water for too long they will attempt to pathfind to land.

When killed Bogeepers drop mud, gunpowder, and soot but why would you want to do that?

bogeeper

[TWIGLET]

The Wise Mystical Tree...

Twiglets are Spriglets that have been fed Rich Bonemal which is crafted from Nightmare Fuel, Bonemeal and Encrusted Bones.

Twiglets wander around like spriglets and occasionally pollinate crops, hoever twiglets do this in a much larger area making them ideal for crop farms, ontop of this Twiglets will slowly begin to flower and eventually grow apples on their leaves.

The Twiglet not appreciating the new weight on its head will shake the apples off allowing the player to collect apples, sticks, oak saplings and occasionally apple saplings, which can be grown into an apple tree so you can grow your own orchard.

twiglet

[THE TREE]

ARE YOU? ARE YOU? COMING TO THE TREE?

While The Tree is technically neutral if you decide to pick a fight with THAT its your own problem.

The tree will wander around at night during new or full moons along with the lightless, hoever the tree wont go out of its way to attack the player, only retaliating if attacked first.

If any mob attacks the tree it will reach a branch out to grab that mob, once grabbed it will be grabbed back into the tree and consumed, killing the mob instantly, creepy...

However an axe feels like a nice scratch to the trees bark- or skin- or whatever its made of and will cause it to shake its branches, dropping down useful items such as nightmare fuel, living sparks and derelict saplings.

Derelict Saplings are used to grow Derelict Trees which can be chopped for a new wood set and Living Sparks can be used to craft The Deforester or The Dark Harvester, they can also be released to reward the player with some xp.
