Main Mods

In the theme of modifying the nature of beings, this mod allows the player to extract genes from mobs and apply those to themselves. I like the mod for its unique mechanic and approach to the subject. It's very well made and has the unique style that is visibile throughout the creator's mods.

A content mod focusing on raw flesh. Adds armors, weapons, potions, and automation blocks. My favorite mod of all time to which this modpack is dedicated. The style and execution are both perfect and I can't wait to see what else the devs got in store for the future of this mod.

Adds a completely new and unique gameplay layer to the game, turning the player into a dragon. The devs have dont an amazing job implementing this idea and the 1.21.1 version is basically a love letter to Minecraft modding.

Makes getting to the End a longer progress which forces the player to interact with the various mods of the modpack. This pack changed the recipes to all eyes and renamed them to "crux".

Primary magic mod with a dark fantasy feel.

Secondary magic mod, focusing on resource duplication and transformation.

Building

A delightful, vanilla-friendly furniture that has unique models and textures not seen in other furniture mods.

An amazing decor mod with its own unique theme of gothic fantasy, which fits perfectly with this pack’s intended mood.

Adds a huge variety of blocks to build with

Adds clay-themed building block as well as a new furnace type that allows for faster baking of said blocks.

Allows placing down all the foods from the Delight mods, showing them in beautifully made models.

Adds 3 block tall doors to existing doors, allowing dragons to pass through.

Adds a lot of blocks in the shape of floor tiles.

Adds more block variants and ambient items.

Content

Adds a new layer of crafting to the game focusing on the unique mechanics of wines and their effects.

Using only the enchanting module of this mod, which overhauls the system and allows for more linear progression.

Overhauls the unused and forgotten system of bows and arrows. Now humans can have a fair fight with dragons.

Adds the butchering system, which extracts more resources from mobs than a simple kill would. The gore and guts fit perfectly with the mood I want for this pack.

The most popular and unique automation mod, focusing on rotational force. Adds a ton of opportunities for automation while staying vanilla-style. Has the following addons:

Adds more desert variants.

Beautiful building blocks.

Allows encasing more things.

Parity with FTB Ultimine.

Parity with Biomancy.

Adds more connection blocks.

Adds more copycat blocks.

A mod that adds a new in-depth layer of crafting food in the game. Has the following addons:

Focusing on food obtained from underground and monsters.

Focusing on food obtained from the End.

Focusing on food obtained from the ether.

Adds ores, mobs, and equipment with a unique style that I feel fits the modpack.

A must-have mod that adds a lot of small additions that together bring a more unified feel to the game. Also contains the Oddities addon.

Makes breeding horses more in-depth by using genetics for stats, health, jumps, and coat colors. Keeps in line with the "modify the flesh" theme of the modpack.

Adds unique curios which can be upgraded for more effects. This makes combat and exploration more fun.

Adds a roster of bosses from which you can obtain the parts to create your very own flesh golems. Has the following addons:

Adds End-themed organs.

Adds more organs.

Overhauls the fishing system, adding more fish and treasures. I always felt like all aquatic-related content needs more attention.

Adds a lot of small additions that together bring a more unified feel to the game. Also contains the Amendaments addon.

Exploration

The bridges are both for aesthetic and usefulness. I like when the world feels more post-apocalyptic but without the modern feel and the scattered bridges allow for this mood to shine.

My favorite cave mod because every cave is so unique and well-made, making exploration worthwhile.

Adds new generated structures.

Adds new cave systems with lots of fun content.

Overhauls the Nether generation.

Adds unique biomes, mobs, and structures to the Nether.

Overhauls the stronghold structure.

Adds more structures to the End and Nether.

  • Moog's series

A series of structure additions that decorate the game beautifully and make exploration more scenic.

Adds more structures to the End.

Overhauls mineshafts.

Overhauls villages.

Adds more structures to the Nether.

Adds structures found in the skies for the dragons to explore.

A lightweight mod that adds a few unique touches to the Nether.

Makes pillagers spawn in caravans around the world, making the faction more present and the world more alive.

Adds unique biomes and decor blocks.

Dynamically generates roads and paths between configured structures. Note that this mod is pretty heavy and the initial world generation takes almost twice as long as usual because of that. If you’re experiencing problems, feel free to turn off this mod when creating a world in the configs.

Adds more space between generated structures, forcing you to explore farther.

Adds the Tricky Trials update's content.

Adds structures to ocean biomes for the sea dragons to explore.

Adds more biomes and mobs to the End.

Overhauls the colder biomes of minecraft, adding content and mobs.

Overhauls dungeons.

Comfort

It is a well known fact that most player need to have entire rooms dedicated to chests filled with cobblestone and dirt. This mod solves the problem and allows easier inventory management by freeing up tons of space from trash blocks. I have also personally added (using KubeJS) more blocks to be compressed in the same style.

An intuitive way to view the Hunger and Saturation values of food.

A more compact way to create indoor farms. Though expensive in resources, potted plants don't require water to grow and the pots can be automated by adding hoppers.

Makes building easier by allowing copy-pasting and mass-placing blocks. Imagine WorldEdit but balanced for Survival mode.

Makes for a cleaner chat with more accessibility.

Removes those pesky potion particles from the player’s POV.

Allows for in-game configuration of most mods.

Allows for the searching of keys in the keybinds setting menu.

Makes crafting easier and quicker by adding a variety of shortcuts to the grid.

Allows armor stands to equip and show curios.

Plays a sound cue when the game finishes loading. Simply open the game in the background and let it load while you do other stuff! The sound played can be configured.

Overhauls the XP cost balance of working on an anvil. No more "too expensive"!

Makes bartering and trading easier by confining the piglins and villagers to a block.

Elytra no longer takes up an armor or back slot, now having its own. For those of us who want to stay human without losing flight.

Allows you to send emojis in in-game chat.

An in-game documentation of each enchantment effect. I personally add my own descriptions to any effects I find missing, so feel free to notify me if you find missing descriptions.

A vanilla-friendly way to locate structures. Not recommended to use on very rare strucutres as it can dry-crash the game due to watchdog.

Allows to tweak specific sounds’ volumes. Some sounds come pre-muffled with this modpack for your comfort.

Allows to mine up to 64 blocks at once while staying balanced, using Saturation as normal mining would.

A lightweight mod that adds quality of life content, such as an obsidian boat for our non-cave dragons.

Allows to improve some quality of life skills such as brewing speed.

A must-have mod that adds keyboard and mouse shortcuts to inventories, such as shift-clicking and scrolling.

Adds upgrades to the furnace which allows it to work faster.

Shows the information of the block or entity you’re looking at.

Adds a menu layer that shows all exiting items in the game as well as allowing to preview and bookmark recipes. Has the following addons:

Shows ore generation info.

Shows how to breed animals.

Shows a description of the effect as well as what causes it. As with enchantment descriptions, I add those I find missing.

Adds a variety of debug overlays to view in-game information. I added this mod specifically for the ability to search for items by looking them up in the JEI search bar then double-clicking it, which creates a dark overlay over any item not matching the search in any inventory, which effectively highlights the items you're looking for. Perfect for modpacks with lots of content!

Adds a lot of mouse shortcuts.

A vanilla-friendly way to locate biomes. Not recommended to use on very rare biomes as it can dry-crash the game due to watchdog.

A vanilla-friendly way to display HP and armor beyond 20 points.

Leaves no longer block movement, instead allowing you to slowly pass through. They also catch your falls.

Allows to change the output of conflicting recipes.

Adds a system of storage that saves on space. This modpack unlocks the creative storage units which are a reward for progressing to the game's end.

Allows you to view resources being loaded real-time.

Adds the saw, which acts like a stonecutter but for wood blocks.

Immediately saves the latest screenshot to the clipboard.

Adds a search bar to various menus.

Adds upgradable backpacks that allow a player to carry more on their person.

Makes chests, barrels, and shulker boxes upgradable. Also adds automation utilities such as magnets, hoppers, filters, and more.

Allows you to unify storage blocks into a single system. Progression-wise, you will probably use this before unlocking Refined Storage.

Adds ways to prevent the spawning of mobs in-game.

Allows you to customize your equipment to appear differently, e.g. making your netherite sword look like a wooden hoe.

Adds a quick way to dispose of items in your inventory.

Adds a vanilla-friendly way to teleport between points.

Shows what menus a player is using as well as whether they're AFK.

Allows a chat command that tells you what structures are in the chunk you’re in.

Adds a minimap to the player’s screen.

Allows the player to view a map of the generated world in-game as well as add waypoints and track entities. Admins can also teleport with a click.

Mood

Makes the world look better without the need for shaders or retexturing by adding soft tints.

Makes the world feel more alive. Instead of complete silence, you might hear birds or crickets.

Makes fire more dangerous and realistic, bringing the mechanic to life.

Overhauls the vanilla generation to be more realistic, adding sweeping fields and gorgeous mountains.

Makes mobs bleed when hurt.

Adds leaf particles that drop from leaf blocks.

Adds unique weapon designs. While the weapons themselves are slightly stronger than netherite, they are quickly overshadowed by the unique equipment from more specialized mods. This mod is meant to be used alongside Transmog, utilizing the unique item textures.

Add unique particles that liven up the game.

Lets you find the skeletal remains of previous explorers. Encountering the corpses of those less fortunate adds to the grotesque mood I want for this modpack.

Makes sound echo and bounce realistically, adding ambience especially to caves.

Makes tooltips unique and visually appealing, adding an extra oomph to rare and unique items.

Difficulty

Adds levels to mobs, increasing their strength with higher levels. For this modpack, the mobs get higher level the lower on the Y axis you go, making the underground more dangerous than the surface.

Adds more options for healing and increasing HP.

Makes combat resemble RPG games, adding new animations. It takes getting used to but the hitboxes of the weapons are realistic and intuitive. If the weapon visibly touches the mob, it will take damage, as logic dictates. This also means the type of weapon you use becomes a conscious choice instead of just looking for the highest stats. Weapons also have a combo attack, which is the final attack of the animation, which deals slightly increased damage. Note that weapons with changed appearance using Transmog will retain the animation of the real weapon rather than adopting the animation of the Transmog skin, which can give others a hint to your deception!

Makes the Ender Dragon fight more unique and engaging.

Mobs

Adds a variety of unique enemies with a dark fantasy feel.

Adds a roster of flesh-tech mobs that fits perfectly with the mood of this pack.

Adds a variety of unique creeper variants to make the classic mob less boring.

Adds vanilla-style animals as well as a roster of hostile monsters that can be pretty scary.

Adds a small roster of draconic mobs that drop useful things.

Adds a variety of unique endermen variants to make the classic mob less boring.

Makes the waters more alive by adding more fish. Sea dragons will have more ambiance.

Adds flesh mobs to the Nether so it won't feel excluded from the Overworld's fleshy adventures.

Adds a new humanoid to the Overworld, kobolds, which trade similarly to piglins.

Known for its amazing bosses and unique prizes dropped from them. In this modpack, the bosses are disabled except Umvuthi, but the rest of the content is still available.

Adds unique mobs not found anywhere else, each with their own special and useful drops and mechanics.

Adds a roster of prehistoric animals that can be revived.

Adds a roster of hostile mobs with a fiendish theme.

Adds a new humanoid to the Overworld, mermorphs, which trade similarly to piglins.

Adds more zombie and skeleton variants.

Add unique mobs and features which are each useful in their own way.

Adds a lot of undead mobs with dark in-game lore that tells you about what happened to the world.

Adds a roster of prehistoric animals that can be revived.

Adds a roster of Victorian-era styled mobs and their unique equipment.

Known Issues

  • Very often, a crash will occur at start-up, claiming the problem is Create or its various add-ons. Simply keep relaucnhing the game and it will eventually work. The solution is beyond me... Advice appreciated!
  • The Underbiome mod can cause a dry crash where the game freezes without generating a crash report. This happens when a chunk containing an Underbiome biome is loaded, but not all the time. The issue has been reported to the mod's author and is awaiting response.
  • Butchery's piglin brute costume has a texture problem.
