Fire cables across the sky, **swing between your airships like Spider-Man**, ride cables on a trolley, and carry your friends along. ## ✨ Features - **Grapple Launcher** — fire a cable between two points (works on terrain *and* moving physics ships/floors). - **Swing Hook** — a swing-anywhere grappling hook. Fire it at any surface and **swing** from it like Spider-Man. **Dual-wield one in each hand** for the full tensed pose. Reel the rope in/out with **Shift+W / Shift+S**. - **Momentum-based release** — the faster you swing, the **farther you launch** when you let go. Release with a click, *Space*, or *Ctrl+Space*. - **Rope that wraps around obstacles** — your rope bends and curves around blocks and airship edges as you swing, instead of clipping through them. - **Cable Trolley** — clip onto a cable and ride it, moving toward wherever you look. - **Hand-hold chain** — right-click a riding player to grab their free hand and get carried along. The whole chain moves in perfect sync. - **Three ways to dismount** — *Shift* to drop, *Space* to hop ~1 block toward your view, *Ctrl + Space* to launch ~3 blocks. Works for the rider **and** the carried player. - **Spinning rollers** — the trolley's wheels roll as you slide along the cable. - **One trolley per rider** — a connector can only be ridden by one player at a time. - **Custom model, texture & sound effects** — fully redesigned guns, dart and connector. - **Shaderpack compatible** (Iris / Oculus). - **Multiplayer ready** — fully synced; others see you swing, hang, ride, get carried, and **watch your rope wrap around obstacles in real time**. ## ⚠️ Required versions — please read before installing! This addon hooks directly into Create: Aeronautics' items and its **native physics**, so the versions must match. Using different ones **can crash the game**. - **Minecraft 1.21.1** + NeoForge - **Create** 6.0.x *(tested on 6.0.10)* - **Create: Aeronautics** 1.2.x — the `create-aeronautics-bundled` file *(tested on 1.2.1)* - **Sable** 1.2.x — ships with Aeronautics *(tested on 1.2.2)* This version now **refuses to load with a clear message** if it finds an incompatible Create: Aeronautics or Sable version, instead of crashing. ## Game crashed / won't start after adding the mod? It's almost always a **version mismatch** of Create: Aeronautics or Sable. - ✅ **Your world is NOT broken** — the mod only crashes while loading it, and it never touches your saved world. - To get back in: remove this mod from your `mods` folder, launch, and re-add it once your Create: Aeronautics + Sable versions match the list above. - It's a native crash, so there's no normal crash report — if it keeps happening, send me the `hs_err_pid####.log` file from your game folder and I'll help. ## 🎮 How to use 1. Craft the **Grapple Launcher**, **Swing Hook** and **Cable Trolley** (recipes shown in JEI/EMI). 2. **Swing Hook:** right-click to fire (left-click for an off-hand second hook). Swing freely; **Shift+W/S** to reel up/down; click or *Space* / *Ctrl+Space* to let go (the faster you swing, the farther you fly). 3. **Grapple Launcher:** right-click two surfaces to span a cable. 4. **Cable Trolley:** hold it and right-click the cable to clip on and ride. Move with **W/S** toward where you look; **Shift / Space / Ctrl+Space** to get off. 5. Remove cables with the **Create Wrench** (*Shift + right-click*). ## ⚠️ Known issues (being worked on) - The hook can still **occasionally fly off** when the rope wraps around an obstacle. - The rope **only wraps around one physics platform at a time** — if it crosses several *separate* floating Aeronautics platforms, it wraps around just one. - On fast-rotating platforms, the rope can be dragged along with the rotation.
