Trails and Nails

Hello, player! Welcome to Trails and Nails, a mod focused on a new resource - fingernails!

What can they be used for? Fingernails are very useful, here's an overview in case you want some information about uses, or if you're a confused user who doesn't understand how to get fingernails:

Blocks

• Block of Fingernails: Crafted with 9 fingernails. Will damage entities that walk on it, dealing damage relatively quickly. This block is affected by gravity.
• Fingernails Embankment: Crafted with 3 blocks of fingernails, in a similar way to slabs. Visually it also resembles a slab, although it isn't. Just like the block of fingernails it will deal damage to mobs walking on top of it and will also be affected by gravity.

Items

• Fingernails: Fingernails are obtainable by right-clicking with shears. This results in a 10 minute cooldown during which the player can't harvest fingernails. Fingernails restore 1 hunger and 0.2 saturation when eaten. They are also the base crafting ingredient for all the items in the mod.
• Fingernail Sandwich: Crafted with 1 bread as well as 3 fingernails. This baked deliciousness will restore 6 hunger and 7.2 saturation.
• Fingernail Cereal: Crafted with a bowl, a milk bucket and 6 fingernails. The most powerful food in the mod, restoring 10 hunger and 12 saturation. Unfortunately, just as all foods in bowls, it comes with the downside of being unstackable.

Fingernail Power

Speaking of power, there's a new mechanic introduced into the game. Eating fingernail-related foods will increase your "fingernail power". There are in total 20 levels. Each new level grants you:

• +2.5% to your speed, +50% on level 20.

• +5% to your damage, +100% on level 20.

• +5% to your knockback, +100% on level 20.

The amount of "fingernail power" you get depends on the food you consume. Fingernail meals (combinations with other ingredients) have a slight bonus. The values for all 3 foods are as follows:

• Fingernails - 0.05 level.
• Fingernail Sandwich - 0.2 level.
• Fingernail Cereal - 0.4 level.

Game rules

• fingernailTime: This gamerule indicates the time needed to grow back the fingernails in ticks (12000 by default).
• fingernailPowerModifier: This one affects the fingernail power obtained from fingernail foods and represents the percentage from the default values of these (100 by default).
