🧱 Build Sandbox

Build Sandbox is a NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that adds a fully isolated creative building dimension where players can design structures safely without affecting their survival world.

✨ Features

🌍 Isolated Sandbox Dimension

• A separate flat creative world designed specifically for building and testing structures.
• No interaction with your survival world.

🎮 Game Mode Switching

• Use the command: /buildsandbox

• First execution:

  • Saves your survival position, dimension, and inventory
  • Teleports you to the sandbox dimension
  • Switches you to Creative mode
  • Loads your sandbox inventory (if available)

• Second execution:

  • Saves your sandbox position and inventory
  • Restores your survival inventory and position
  • Switches you back to Survival mode

🎒 Separate Inventories

• Survival inventory is stored independently from sandbox inventory.
• Switching worlds restores exactly what you had before entering.

🚫 Sandbox Restrictions

To keep the sandbox clean and controlled:

• ❌ No natural mob spawning
• ❌ No portals (Nether/End portals are blocked)
• ❌ No fire or portal generation allowed
• ❌ Fully isolated gameplay environment

🧠 Travel Protection

• Dimension travel is controlled internally by the mod.
• Players cannot freely escape or enter the sandbox without using /buildsandbox.

📦 How It Works

The mod uses a per-player data system:

• Stores:
  • Survival dimension
  • Survival position
  • Survival inventory
  • Sandbox position
  • Sandbox inventory

This ensures that switching between worlds is seamless and persistent.

• No advancements (achievements) can be obtained inside the Build Sandbox
