Description

FSR Upscaler for Minecraft Get massive frame-per-second (FPS) boosts without turning your game into a blurry mess. This mod brings high-end, smart upscaling technology directly to Minecraft using pure, lightweight graphics card math.

🚀 Why You Want This Mod

Normally, if you want more FPS, you have to lower your game's resolution, which makes everything look pixelated and blurry.

This mod fixes that. It forces Minecraft to render the world at a lower, high-performance resolution, but uses a smart Temporal Reconstruction algorithm to instantly rebuild the missing details. By blending information from past frames with the present frame, it deletes jagged edges and outputs a crystal-clear image.

  • Razor-Sharp Graphics: Includes a built-in sharpness filter (RCAS) so block textures, leaves, and item grids stay incredibly crisp instead of looking smeared.
  • Massive Performance Gains: Gives your graphics card breathing room, resulting in huge FPS jumps—especially if you play at 1440p or 4K resolutions.
  • Perfect for Massive View Distances: Fully compatible with Level-of-Detail (LOD) mods like Voxy. You can look out at endless, beautiful horizons with zero performance lag.
  • Super Lightweight: Runs entirely inside clean, standard OpenGL code. No heavy or messy external requirements that will break your favorite modpacks.

🎮 How to Install

Getting the mod into your game takes less than a minute:

  1. Download the Mod: Grab the .jar version file that matches your Minecraft version.
  2. Open your Mod Folder: Press Windows Key + R, type %appdata%\.minecraft\mods, and press Enter. (If you use a launcher like Prism, Modrinth App, or CurseForge, just click "Open Folder" on your instance).
  3. Drop it in: Move the downloaded mod file directly into that mods folder.
  4. Launch the Game: Start Minecraft through your modded profile!

⌨️ Controls & Settings (How to Use)

You don't need to struggle with complex configuration menus—the upscaler is fully automated and activates the second you load into a world.

  • How to configure Use F8 to Enable/Diable the mod, F9 to switch video quality, F10 to switch bweteen FSR versions, and K and J to adjust sharpness. Alternatively, you can use F7 to get a settings UI
  • Shader Requirements: Go into your Video Settings and ensure your standard shader packs (Iris or Oculus) are completely Disabled, as they will clash with the custom upscaling pipelines.
  • Fine-Tuning: If you ever want to adjust the custom sharpness level or tweak resolution scales, you can easily change the numbers inside the mod's configuration layout files.

💻 Hardware Requirements (Will it run?)

Because this mod runs entirely on pure OpenGL compute shaders, it does not need a specific brand of graphics card to work. However, it requires modern hardware structures to execute the math:

  • Supported Graphics Cards: Requires an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 700 series / AMD Radeon HD 7000 series or newer. (Basically, any graphics card made after 2013).
  • Intel Integrated Graphics: Works on Intel Haswell processors or newer (Intel HD Graphics 4600+), but dedicated graphics cards will see the biggest performance leaps.
  • Technical Requirement: Your system and drivers must support OpenGL 4.3 or higher. If your computer can run modern versions of Minecraft smoothly, it can run this mod!

⚠️ The Catch: Shader Compatibility (Must Read!)

Because this mod completely alters how Minecraft builds and processes images under the hood, it is incompatible with traditional OptiFine/Iris shaders (like Complementary, BSL, or SEUS).

Shaders completely rewrite Minecraft's rendering code to add custom lighting and shadows. This mod also rewrites Minecraft's rendering code to handle smart upscaling. If you run both at the same time, they fight over the same graphics pipelines, resulting in a broken screen or a game crash.

Think of this mod as an alternative to shaders: Install shaders if you want cinematic lighting; install this mod if you want maximum performance, smooth gameplay, and sharp anti-aliasing while keeping the classic, clean vanilla Minecraft aesthetic!

🛠️ How It Works (Simply Put)

Instead of just stretching out a small image like older upscalers do, this mod gently shakes Minecraft’s camera by a fraction of a pixel every single frame. It takes those tiny, overlapping snapshots, remembers what the world looked like a millisecond ago, and stitches them together to paint a high-resolution final picture on your monitor in real-time.
