Superb Modern Combat [SMC]

⚠ Early release — sample pack only: This addon currently serves as a demonstration pack for SBW Mesh Loader. It is in an early state with only minimal functionality. Bugs, placeholder content, and missing features are expected. This is not yet a full-featured addon. (The current version does not support Survival Mode, nor is it designed for multiplayer. (Technically, however, multiplayer gameplay is possible.)

This mod requires Superb Warfare and SBW Mesh Loader as dependencies.

Future plans: Superb Modern Combat is planned to evolve into a fully-featured standalone addon with proper balancing, additional vehicles, sounds, and complete gameplay integration. The current release is a starting point, not the final vision.

Superb Modern Combat adds a selection of Cold War and modern-era military vehicles to Minecraft via Superb Warfare. All vehicle models use Blockbench poly_mesh geometry rendered through SBW Mesh Loader, making this pack the primary reference implementation for mesh-based SBW addons.

Development roadmap

v0.1 — Initial sample release (current) Four poly_mesh vehicles as a proof-of-concept for SBW Mesh Loader. Minimal configuration, basic in-game functionality.

Future — Full addon release (planned) Proper stats balancing, custom sounds, additional vehicles, recipe integration, and complete gameplay polish. Timeline depends on SBW's official poly_mesh support.

A note on SBW Mesh Loader

This pack requires the SBW Mesh Loader. This is a temporary library mod designed to supplement functionality until Superb Warfare natively supports the rendering of polygon meshes. Once SBW officially supports mesh models, this add-on will be updated, and the SBW Mesh Loader is expected to become unnecessary.
