Description
Uninvited
Every so often, a join message appears in chat. A name you don't recognize — or one that looks almost like yours. They stay logged in for a while. Then they leave.
Nobody ever actually connected.
Features
Rare, and deliberately not quick — once triggered, the name sticks around for 10 to 40 minutes before the matching leave message appears. Long enough to make you wonder if someone's actually in your world.
The name itself comes from one of three approaches, picked at random each time:
- A subtly distorted version of your own name — almost right, one small thing wrong
- A generic system-looking placeholder, like an account that was never properly set up
- An ordinary, common name with one small distortion — a letter dropped, doubled, or swapped for something that looks similar
Matches vanilla's real join/leave message formatting exactly. Purely client-side — no real connection, no server involvement, no actual player ever joins.
Optional Features (Config Options)
- Whether the mod is enabled
- How often it can trigger, and how long the fake join lasts before the fake leave message
