Description
While developing my own modpack I ran into an issue;
Some enchants were just too broken!
Now, naturally I would just head to the config and tweak some settings to disable those enchants.. but- These mods didn't have configs for their enchantments! So here we are now, a standalone mod (with JEI support). Made to disable enchants.
To make old worlds still compatible with these changes however, the enchants still technically exist. They just can't be applied to any item, and can't be found.
What does that mean for commands? Nothing. There's obviously a way to get a blacklisted enchantment on an item if you know your way around nbt well enough- Though, I have plans to address this in a later version.
"Wait, what if someone already has a blacklisted enchant on their item?" I hear you asking, fear not! This mod comes equipped to deal with that! In the config you'll find an option called "forceCompliance". When enabled, this causes items to check their enchants whenever they are loaded, and automatically remove blacklisted enchants from themselves while keeping the available ones.
Currently, this feature seems limited to world loading/entity spawning. So using
"/give @s item{Enchantments:[{id:"blacklisted:enchantment",lvl:5}]}"
would still give you the enchant, however it would disappear on world reload.
To clarify something, I wouldn't expect this mod to be updated often. I tend to jump around projects, going from a to b in as short as a day, to as long as half a year. Not to mention, there will come a point where the only updates would be bugfixes and compatibility bridges with other mods. Do feel free to request features, or let me know of problems in the comments.
TL;DR
Have an enchant you don't like but can't disable because it's mod won't let you? This mod has you covered. As long as you know the internal name, that enchantment should be as good as gone.
