STAY IN CHARACTER

STAY IN CHARACTER (WCESIC) is a companion mod for Warrior Cats Events roleplay servers. It adds [IC]/[OOC] status markers, AFK protection, and an admin command for transferring clan leadership.

Use /ic and /ooc to show whether you are speaking or acting in character or out of character. Colored status markers appear above your WCE cat morph, before your chat name, and in the tab list. WCE’s morph names, clan colors, and chat hover information are preserved, and your actual chat message stays unchanged.

Your IC/OOC status is saved between sessions by default. Server owners can disable this through rememberStatus in world/serverconfig/wcesic-server.toml.

Use /afk to display an [AFK] marker and block incoming damage. While AFK, WCE thirst depletion, its dehydration timer, and the Thirsty effect’s drain are paused. AFK does not refill hunger or thirst.

AFK ends when you press a keyboard key, use movement/jump/sneak input, log out, or respawn. Being pushed or falling does not clear it. Leaving AFK starts a 10-second cooldown before you can enter AFK again. Server owners can change afkCooldownSeconds in the server config; setting it to 0 disables the cooldown.

Commands

• /ic Set your status to [IC].
• /ooc Set your status to [OOC].
• /rpstatus off or /rpstatus clear Clear your status.
• /afk Toggle AFK.
• /afk on or /afk off Set AFK explicitly.
• /wce clan adminSetLeader <player> Transfer leadership and ownership of the named player’s clan. Requires OP level 3 or the server console. The replacement must be online and already belong to that clan. Previous leaders become warriors, and previous owners become ordinary members, including offline players.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1.
• NeoForge 21.1.235 or newer.
• Warrior Cats Events and its dependencies. WCE is required; WCESIC is an addon for it.
• Installation on both the server and every client.
