# Moves Like Mafuyu
A lightweight action-oriented mod designed to optimize movement experience during exploration and building.
### Sliding
- Press sneak key while sprinting to trigger a slide, granting slight acceleration and allowing movement through one-block-high spaces.
- Resume sprinting after slide duration ends. Can be canceled by jumping or moving backward (no sprint recovery when canceled by backward movement).
- Slide duration resets when sliding onto slopes, enabling continuous downhill sliding.
- Sliding onto water surfaces triggers a "Skipping" action: small leap forward with continued sliding. Default skip limit: 2 times.
- Extension: Colliding with entities directly in front during sliding will knock them back while losing momentum.
### Climbing
- Jump towards two-block-high obstacles to climb like vanilla ladder climbing (invisible ladders on all sides).
- Climbing restrictions: Non-solid blocks above obstacle (slabs, leaves, ice), not facing obstacle, or one-block-high obstacles.
- Hold sneak while climbing to pause. Jump normally from paused position (useful for three-block obstacles with non-solid tops).
- Prevent falling by holding sneak when slipping off edges - utilizes more lenient climbing detection during falls.
### Swimming
- Enter swim state by pressing sprint key when contacting water (even shallow 1-block depth).
- Easier access to "Free Swimming" (simultaneous breathing and swimming when surfacing) - significantly reduced trigger difficulty compared to vanilla.
- "Aquatic Boost": Press sprint while swimming for short forward burst (consumes oxygen).
- "Water Gliding": Press jump during free swimming to leap out of water and transition into sliding/skipping.
### Crawling
- Double-tap sneak to crawl (vanilla 1-block-space movement). Single-tap to cancel.
- Normal jumping allowed by default. Enable "jump-to-cancel" in config.
- "Dive Roll": Press sneak shortly after sprint-jumping to enter crawling with forward boost (doesn"t auto-cancel upon landing).
- Transition from crawling to sliding by pressing sneak. Maintains crawl state after slide.
### Additional Notes
- Uses only vanilla controls: Sneak, Jump, Sprint. No extra keybindings required.
- Most features configurable via files with server-side settings taking priority.
- Compatibility: Conflicts with TaCZ"s crawling mechanics. TaCZ addon will disable TaCZ"s crawling and allow shooting while sliding.
- Advanced movement combos possible: e.g., sprint-slide-jump-diveroll combinations (theoretical 8-block jumps). Future plans include more high-skill ceiling features.
