This version of the mod has been recompiled for compatibility with newer versions of ProjectE and Applied Energistics 2 (AE2).

As per the original developer, Mordenkainen3141, Equivalent Energistics was released under an "All Rights Reserved" (ARR) license, as noted on CurseForge at the time of publication in 2015. Under this license, all rights to the code and mod content remain exclusively with Mordenkainen3141. I fully acknowledge that all code and intellectual property related to Equivalent Energistics is owned by Mordenkainen3141.

Statement from Mordenkainen3141 (2015):

"I have not yet decided what license to apply to this code, so as listed on Curse, it is currently 'All Rights Reserved.' I am a firm believer in open-source software, so I will likely adopt a more permissive license eventually. In the meantime, feel free to reference my code if you wish to replicate its functionality. That said, I invested considerable time into finding a unique feature for this mod—something often requested but not yet delivered. I aimed for originality, rather than creating another rehash of existing mods. I can't prevent you from duplicating its functionality, but I ask, in good conscience, that you give this mod a chance to thrive without clones appearing everywhere. These mods have been available for some time without anyone replicating what I’ve done, so hearing about potential duplicates so soon after release is disheartening."

Rationale for This Recompilation:While I fully respect Mordenkainen3141's position and the "All Rights Reserved" license applied to Equivalent Energistics in 2015, I also take into consideration that the developer is a firm believer in open-source software. Given that the mod has been abandoned since 2018, I believe there is significant community benefit in recompiling the mod to work with more recent versions of ProjectE.

This is in line with the open-source philosophy that software should remain accessible, modifiable, and useful to the community. The goal of this recompiled version is to preserve functionality for users of modern mod packs, without creating unnecessary clones.

Once again, all original code and intellectual property remain the exclusive property of Mordenkainen3141.
