The Scape and Run: Calamity modpack represents one of the biggest modpacks that include the terrifying Scape and Run: Parasites mod (by Dhanantry). It features a long-term progression gameplay with highly balanced features for a good overall experience.

Died once? No worries, it’s not over. The progression is balanced for both the player and the parasites. It’s tough for the parasites to progress faster than you.

Want the best loot? Explore. There are tons of custom structures with unique loot that will help you advance.

Follow the quests. There are over 300 quests that grant all types of rewards: experience, items, and knowledge. By reading and completing the quests, you’ll not only learn about the modpack but also get powerful items crucial for late-game progress.

Don’t expect to get OP items easily. Nearly 1,000 recipes have been changed for overall balance. Want a Digital Miner? You’ll need much more time than expected to craft it.

There are interactive ways to obtain items. You can craft them, earn them from quests, find them inside different structures, or gather them from bosses.

Every parasite is highly balanced, ensuring a proper gameplay experience at the right time:

• No assimilated Enderman haunting you in the early phases;
• Every parasite disabled in the config has been enabled here. For example, you’ll find Primitive Devourers in the ocean starting in Phase 4 and Ancient Parasites in later phases;
• The phase cooldowns and points are optimized based on real gameplay, tested by various players. Each phase lasts differently and provides different outcomes;
• Incorporation of colonies and scents with balanced adjustments;
• Every lure has a balanced recipe.

There are custom structures that contain parasites, including the huge Pestilential Tree of Stage III:

In these structures, you’ll find different kinds of unique items, but you’ll risk dying to the parasites inhabiting them.

There are large and rare Lost Cities that provide early to mid-game loot, but they are haunted by parasites.

You can cure the entities from COTH using an antidote.

Different SRP Addons are perfectly balanced for gameplay. Tons of different living and sentient weapons have been added.

Every 30 days, massive parasite hordes will swarm towards your base.

Pestilential Ores can be gathered and purified into normal ores using a purificator.

Discover bosses in every dimension, each with special abilities. Enjoy entertaining fights and unique rewards.

Embark on a journey to conquer different structures, each with a unique way of exploring and looting. You’ll need to use strategy, especially for the larger late-game structures.

Craft ships, equip wings, or ride your horse through days and nights. There are plenty of transportation methods to choose from.

Explore the new biomes in the End and Nether, uncovering their secrets and making the most of them.
