This is an unofficial branch of the original Liminal Industries modpack featuring bugfixes, additional mod integration, rebalancing, gameplay tweaks, quality of life fixes, as well as many new features!

If you are a fan of the original modpack, or have never played it before and were considering doing so, I highly recommend giving this version a try. In general, the progression of the original pack was incredible, but I did notice a few issues during my playthrough that this port serves to improve, as well as rebalancing certain areas I felt like could use it.

Complete credit for the original modpack goes to Appocryptha, but I took it upon myself to fix as many recently reported bugs as I could, and got carried away and improved some other things as well.

 

Notes: 

  • Please do not add any minimap mods. This ruins the intended experience. Maps have been fixed to work properly instead.
  • Remember some items can only be found through exploration!
  • If you have any feedback or notice bugs, please join the official discord and let me know in my “fork” channel.

Full Changelist:

-Added several new data chips to fully utilize the remaining possible values of the base-4 system, and qol fixes such as better code, lore to modified chip, and animation to error chip texture
-Added several new blocks and items.
-Data chips are now created via inscription, to better reflect their resources.
-Flowing water now makes carpets soggy, lava dries it, and redstone acid burns it away completely (unmarked issue)
-Sponges are no longer shifted in the inventory when used
-Canceled server events are now synchronized and properly canceled on client to prevent descyncs/ghost items (sponge/sculk blocks) (unmarked issue)
-Added CrawlOnDemand mod to easily access 1 block tall areas
-Added the room forge world to main pack, and improved it massively with useful command blocks
-Black quartz, checkerboard blocks, and tin are now renewable. More seed types, moss, kelp, and other QOL items are now obtainable.
-Integrated advancements. Removed impossible ones, fixed and reworded others as needed
-Integrated crafting recipes and mechanics (AIOTs, storage drawers, cloche, fluid tanks, refurbished furniture, and more)
-Properly implemented crafttakestime to work with all available crafting stations
-More and expanded quests to guide player through new and existing features, and better rewards across the board
-Better utility commands for testing and bugfixing, including the ability to manually place rooms
-Renamed different variants of items with the same name (sawdust, cardboard, chocolate, etc)
-Integrated and rebalanced fishing. Three new fish to catch instead of normal fish. Normal fish can still be obtained through summoning/mana conversion.
-Sculk no longer affects creative players (blindness/slowness effect, plus placing blocks/spawn eggs)
-Sculk scrubber now needs to actually absorb some sculk to become "sculked" (unmarked issue)
-sculk shroom is no longer unbreakable (unmarked issue)
-Sculk scrubber now damages sculk mobs
-Warden is now properly tagged as a sculk mob (and in exchange is a bit harder to kill normally). 5 scrubber activations should be enough to kill one.
-Sculk scrubber process can now be ended early by breaking it (previously waited the full duration before finishing and playing sound, even if broken early). It also retries making the scrubber sculked if initial conversion fails/is skipped for some reason (previously only tried once)
-Soul speed enchantment has been replaced with "sculk speed".
-Reality frame black holes now only last 30 seconds. It is also more dangerous.
-Igneous Extractor is now a far more reasonable speed. Feel free to use multiple if needed.
-Carpet dust is now actually dangerous to breathe in, as the quest implies (spent multiple days figuring out how to make silverfish immune to wither)
-Carpet Grass can now be bonemealed
-Many previously-unstackable vanilla items now stack to 16 for convenience (potions, etc), and fixed stack size issues with other mods (thermal, kubejs)
-Fixed error wallpaper7 and ballpit fluid textures by porting from test build of the pack (unmarked issue)
-Fixed and improved a few rooms, preventing out of bounds exploits, the inability for some to generate at all, and better integration
-fixed chunk error rooms (issue #92)
-fixed cooler dupe (issue #182)
-Fixed Mekanism warning on world load (issue #177)
-Fixed Botania adding head drops to every mob (botania issue #4937).
-Fixed Wither dropping two wither eyes (endrem issue #89)
-Properly configured endrem cryptic eye to not be given from enchanting (issue #202)
-Properly tagged liminal blocks to correctly show on maps (issue #121)
-Other recipe balancing/fixes (issue #156, #142, #127, #198, other unmarked and discord issues)
-Fixed tags for better integration/balance and to prevent issues such as ravagers breaking oil carpet (issue #196, unmarked issues)
-Dragon breath ritual now only yields 8 bottles max regardless of if an autoclicker is used (issue #203), and you have more time to collect it. Rebalanced dragon eye recipe accordingly.
-Cryptic eye now gives unqiue text prompts and particles to better telegraph you are doing the correct thing (issue #202)
-Cryptic eye progress is more carefully tracked to prevent cross contamination of marker entities (unmarked issue)
-Better Reality Frame tagging to prevent contamination of marker entities
-Cooling hot steel is now dropped as an item instead of instantly being given to the closest player (issue #171, and #144?)
-Moved kubejs loot modifications to actual loot tables so they properly show in jei, and to prevent double drops (unmarked issue)
-Fixed file structure, reorganized, renamed, and consolidated functions/scripts, fixed typos, and improved code (unmarked issues)
-replaced useless osmium compressor quest with the chemical oxidizer you actually need (issue #200)
-Implemented additional quest dialog based on my own experience and community feedback (issue #138, #187)
-Baby zombie pigmen are now properly removed even if they spawn riding a chicken (unmarked issue)
-Lights are now properly turned off if circuit breaker is broken by non-player means (unmarked issue)
-Properly removed command blocks that were previously not during world generation due to broken functions (unmarked issue)
-Fixed dark oak furniture being added to oak furniture tag, and thus able to be crafted into oak planks (discord issue)
-Fixed other out of bounds exploits (cannon, mana bottle)
