Description

Vintage Wilds is heavily inspired by Vintage Story, TerraFirmaCraft, and a bit of Rebirth of the Night, but brings its own identity and ideas.
The goal is to stay closer to vanilla Minecraft, avoiding overly grindy gameplay or unfair mechanics.

You will progress through distinct Ages, starting from primitive tools and evolving over time.

But survival isn't just about crafting.
You’ll need to build your base with defense in mind — unknown forces will send waves of monsters every week or so.
These raids get harder over time and monsters may even break certain blocks to reach you.

You’ll also have to survive the seasons. Most hostile mobs don’t spawn on the surface during the night…
Until Winter arrives — then they’ll come with it.

 

⚠️ This modpack is in early beta.
Some Ages and content are missing and progression is still being developed.
Create will be integrated soon!

Issues will and are currently in the pack!!

 

✔️ Start from flint

  • No tree punching. No early pickaxe.
  • Use flint tools as your first tools — no stone or wooden tools.

✔️ Craft with your surroundings — less GUI.

  • Use clay with the pottery system to make early storage and more.
  • Fire bricks to build your first furnace.
  • Use the Crafting Workspace and the Primitive Crafting Table to build without a traditional crafting table.

 

✔️ Smithing System

  • Use the Primitive Smelter and reach the right temperature.
  • Pour molten metal into molds to create ingots, blades, axe heads, and more.
  • Be careful — hot items can burn you!
  • Use the Forge to shape your tools.

✔️ Progression unlock

  • This is when you finally gain access to the Crafting Table.
  • Tons of customized recipes become available from here.

✔️ Realistic farming

  • Farmland consumes water over time.
  • Water is finite — you’ll need to manage it.
  • Build aqueducts to irrigate your fields.
  • Use Farmer’s Delight cabinets to preserve food longer.

 

 

✔️ A balanced survival experience

  • Temperature and thirst systems that are actually well-balanced and not too punishing.
  • Modded food and drinks are integrated to help you manage them.
  • Harsh conditions in rough environments, but fair and survivable elsewhere.

✔️ A world that reacts to you

  • Animals have a chance to defend themselves.
  • Predators will be hostile.
  • Real localized weather.
  • Seasons affect your farming and temperature.
  • Immersive Weathering included.

✔️ Customized progression

  • Many recipes have been rebalanced to be more challenging — without excessive grind.
  • The pack encourages in-world crafting and workstations over GUI menus (like Vintage Story).
               This system is still in progress, but it's a major design goal.

✔️ A guided journey

  • Quests are included for each Age to help you progress.
  • Added information through JEI.
  • A Discord server is available for feedback, bug reports, and updates.

⚠️Know issues at the moment :

  • You might often time spawn on little island or in the water... Just recreate another world until you get a good one
  • Some people appears to have crashes ? Works fine for some but not for others ? I'll need your crashlog
