Description

Title

The Creeping Woods mod transforms the peaceful forests of Minecraft into something far more sinister. As night falls, strange phenomena begin, fast-moving lights, ghosts, and disturbing hallucinations. New structures and hidden easter eggs based on real-life events, while a creature hides within the trees, waiting for nightfall to attack. With flashlights to light your way and eerie sounds echoing through the trees, the once-familiar woods will never feel safe again…

[OLD] What is my console spaming?

Most mobs use special spawning conditions, which means that these mobs can only appear under certain conditions. If the spawning conditions work, this spam is created in the console.

► [OLD] Why can't I summon a mob?

Spawning Conditions determine which conditions must be met in order to spawn certain mobs. Some mobs only spawn above Y level 60. Some below. Most mobs can only spawn in the overworld than in other dimensions.

► Why are Mobs not spawning?

Mobs in Creeping Woods only work at night. This means that you can only spawn them at night.

► Why are features missing in different versions?

It is recommended to play the newest versions of higher minecraft versions.

Not all features of MCreator available or the same in different versions.
For example: Version 1.19.2 doesn't have the feature of shield, better structure generation or custom villagers, but Version 1.20.1 does have them.

► How can I activate/deactivate the entity jumpscare?

The entity jumpscare is normally off. However, it can be activated if you set the gamerule "disableCreatureFromTheWoodsJumpscare" to false.

Remember that The figure can still trigger the jumpscare when attacking, regardless of how the gamerule is set.

► Why got Slenderman removed?

Slenderman and everything related to him was removed from Creeping Woods starting with version 2.0, because he will receive his own mod.

► Why do some structures generate in each other?

This is due to the generation of MCreators structures. It can happen that the structures spawn inside each other, so they are generated in the same chunk.

► Why are there NPCs??

Creeping Woods was originally inspired by the videos of Zcoper and his friend Slimmy. Some of the NPCs either represent people from the videos or were added in honor of acquaintances and are therefore less common. However, some of the NPCs also play a role in the lore of Creeping Woods...

Important to Lore
-Filmer NPC (Samuel aka Slimmy)
-Lighter NPC (Max aka Zcoper)

Easter Eggs according to the videos
-Filmer NPC (Samuel aka Slimmy)
-Lighter NPC (Max aka Zcoper)
-Rare Lighter NPC (Mirco)

In Honor of acquaintances
-Human 1 NPC (Jogoi)
-Human 2 NPC (Louis)

Creature from the woods

Creature from the Woods spawns at night with a creepy sound. It watches players from a distance and sometimes hangs from trees. If a certain gamerule is active, the creature can also rarely jumpscare a player when it spawns, which leads to direct death. If looked at directly or attacked, it turns invisible and reappears nearby to continue stalking. It can either vanish again or become aggressive, chasing and attacking players and other humanoid mobs. Water freezes in its presence, it can climb, break blocks, and is fast and durable. It despawns at dawn. In the lore, this creature is responsible for most deaths, perfectly adapted to its environment. But there's something wrong with this creature... like it doesn't belong in this world.

Show all Creatures

Corpse Spider

Corpse Spiders are small, aggressive creatures that spawn in swarms from dead or hanging bodies. They’re fast and can climb walls.

Quick Light

Quick Lights are ghostly phenomenon that appear in the forest at night. When they spawn, they might emit strange, unsettling sounds. These lights zip through the forest at high speed, flickering and vanishing after 6 seconds. If you shine a flashlight on it, it disappears with a creepy noise. However, if these lights are too close to a player, they can cause static and turn off flashlights.

Glowing Eyes

Glowing Eyes are ghostly phenomenon that spawn in the forest at night, sometimes accompanied by a distant fox-like scream. They silently watch the player from afar, carefully avoiding close encounters. If a player gets too close, they can cause static and turn off flashlights. If you shine a flashlight on it, it disappears with a creepy noise. However, if approached directly, they instantly despawn.

Stalking Face

Stalking Face is a ghostly phenomenon that spawns in the forest at night. It silently watches players from a distance, causing static and disabling flashlights when nearby. If you shine a flashlight on it, it disappears with a creepy noise. If the player gets too close, the entity instantly despawns.

Ghost Player

Ghost Players are ghostly phenomenon that appears in the forest at night. It silently watches players, slowly wandering through the trees. When nearby, it can cause static and disable flashlights. If you shine a flashlight on it, it disappears with a creepy noise. If a player gets too close, the Ghost Player vanishes, though rarely, its disappearance might trigger the spawn of an anomaly.

Ghost Girl

Ghost Girls are ghostly phenomenon that spawns in the forest at night. It silently watches and follows players but never gets closer than 10 blocks. When nearby, it causes static and disables flashlights. If a player collides with it, they receive the Corruption effect. At sunrise or upon death, the Ghost Girl simply vanishes without a trace.

Anomaly

Anomaly is a demonic phenomenon that spawns in the forest at night, triggered by the disappearance of Ghost Players or the destruction of a statue during the night. If you shine a flashlight on it, it disappears with a creepy noise. It approaches players, causing static and disabling flashlights when nearby. Colliding with an Anomaly results in an Anomaly Jumpscare.

Statue

Statues are villager statues created by an ancient civilization. They spawn in the forest and become alive at night. These statues move slowly toward the player but freeze if the player is looking at them. Statues can only be attacked with a pickaxe, and they deal a lot of damage. If a statue dies at night, there is a chance it will spawn an Anomaly.

Cursed Goat

Cursed Goat spawns at night in the forest, possessed by a demon. It remains completely still, but if attacked or stared at, its neck stretches unnaturally long. After this eerie transformation, the goat dies, and a Demon Cloud emerges from its body.

Demon Cloud

Demon Cloud is a demonic phenomenon that spawns in the forest at night or emerges when a Cursed Goat dies. It flees from players but causes static and disables flashlights when nearby. The Demon attacks humans and goats, transforming goats into Cursed Goats. After 8 seconds, the Demon Cloud vanishes. In the lore, Demon Clouds were the first being summoned by the cult, followed by other demonic beings.

Cursed Figure

Cursed Figure is a demonic phenomenon that spawns in the forest at night. It floats silently in the air, watching players from a distance. If a player makes eye contact, the figure vanishes.

Shadow Figure

Shadow Figure is a demonic phenomenon that spawns near players at night after an ambient sound plays. It stands still, silently watching. When nearby, it causes flashlights to turn off, while water freezes in its presence. If a player looks directly at it or shines a light on it, the figure vanishes.

Figure

Figure is a tall, slender-like demonic phenomenon that spawns in the forest at night. When nearby, it disables flashlights and screaming sounds occure. It remains passive until looked at. Then, it becomes hostile and hunts the player. Being close to the Figure can inflict the Corruption effect. If it reaches the player, it kills them instantly with the entity jumpscare before vanishing. The only way to survive its presence is water, as contact with it causes the Figure to disappear.

Hallucination

Hallucination is an illusion of the Creature from the Woods, spawning in the forest at night. It watches players from a distance and rushes toward them when close. If it collides with a player, it triggers a sudden jumpscare before vanishing. Shining a flashlight on the Hallucination makes it disappear instantly.

He represents Samuel, the creator of the Slimmy YouTube channel, who filmed videos in the forest at night, with Zcoper. the inspiration behind the Creeping Woods mod. He is friendly but will become hostile if attacked. Samuel avoids dangerous creatures and seeks out phenomena to record. He always spawns with a Lighter, and occasionally with a Rare Lighter. Right-clicking on him activates various voice lines. If attacked, he may scream in response. During the day, he disappears. If killed, there is a rare chance he will drop a Camera.

Lighter || Max
