Do you feel sorry in many monster girl mods you can be only enemy to the cute mobs? Let's be friend with them!

NFF: Girls (Natrium Friending Framework: Girls) is a project intended to allow you to get friendly with originally hostile girl mobs from several mods, centered by Hostile Mobs and Girls (HMaG). You can get friendly with each type of monster girls with various methods, some in which can be challenging. Also, they will help you in different ways after getting friendly!

This mod is still in development and will add more features in future updates. Now the 28 types of monster girls from HMaG are fully supported, and more other mod supports are under development. 

This mod has an in-game instruction book, requiring Citadel as dependency. To start, craft the guide book with vanilla Book + Evil Crystal Fragment.

This mod's item lists for friending, healing and trading are displayed in JEI, and has an in-game guide book based on Patchouli (since 0.x.32, Citadel until 0.x.31). These two dependencies are highly recommended to get detailed information of this mod. To get started, craft the guide book with vanilla Book + Evil Crystal Fragment.

Note: This mod is still alpha, and often undergoes refactor and save data format change. Please read the update warning section at the end of this page before updating versions. Don't update the mod with external tools (e.g. PCL2), as they will make you miss the warnings. Never roll back the version, or the data may permanently break!

Note: 1.19.2 and 1.18.2 versions are less stable than 1.20.1. This is because they are simply ported from 1.20.1 and are much less tested than 1.20.1. Please keep your save data backed up when playing these versions. If you encountered an issue with 1.19.2/1.18.2, please don't hesitate to report it in the Discord channel or GitHub. I'll fix the issue and upload a minor update ASAP as long as I receive the report. 

Note: This mod is not made by HMaG official. Please do not report to HMaG's author if you encountered any issues in friending.

Note: If you encountered a crash, please post the crash report when reporting the issue. It's hard to locate the reason or even reproduce the crash if you just say "my game crashed". Also, it's recommended to report issues on GitHub or Discord instead of here, as it will be easier to upload files there, and I will reply more quickly.

IMPORTANT: Only the latest 3 versions of each Minecraft version are supported. Earlier versions are labeled as alpha, and the save data will be incompatible with the latest version. If you're using a very early version and wish to update to latest, be sure to follow the instruction at the bottom of this page in order to minimize the possibility of data breaking.

DATA INCOMPATIBILITY: As 0.x.28 underwent full refactor on the mob friending process, the process data is not compatible with previous versions and should be removed on loading with the new version. However, it's no guarantee that potential bugs don't exist, so it's recommended to remove "wild" mobs on friending process before updating.

DATA INCOMPATIBILITY: 0.x.26's BLOCKS AND MOB RESPAWNERS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with 0.x.25. Collect all blocks (Soul Carpet, Luminous Terracotta etc.) and release all mobs from respawners/storage pods (including storage from other mods) onto the world before update!!

DATA INCOMPATIBILITY: 0.x.26's save data is INCOMPATIBLE WITH 0.x.24 or below. Open the game with 0.x.25 at least once and release all mobs from respawners/storage pods before updating to 0.x.26.

KNOWN ISSUE: If error report shows something related to NFF Services version, just remove the NFF Services jar file in /mod folder. Now the lib is packed into NFF Girls jar file.

LEGACY SAVE DATA PORTING INSTRUCTION

First of all: BACK UP YOUR DATA!!!! And read all warnings on this page before start!!!

Update at most 3 version numbers at one time (e.g. 0.x.18 -> 0.x.21 -> 0.x.24). After each update, enter the world, load all NFF: Girls mobs at least once, and release all mobs from mob storage items (including storage items from other mods) before next update attempt.

Specially, the save data of 0.x.24- must be updated to exactly 0.x.25 before 0.x.26+. 0.x.26 is a huge refactor and is compatible with ONLY 0.x.25 but not below.

Note that there is no guarantee that you can successfully port the legacy save data, although I've tried my best to make the data compatible across 3 version numbers. If issue persists within 3 versions, try porting the data version-wise (e.g. 0.x.26 -> 0.x.27 -> 0.x.28).
