📖 Description

Fishing Expansion completely overhauls Minecraft’s fishing system, transforming it into a full ocean-based progression path. This mod introduces new and better loot, special fishes, enchantments, new structure, new boss, structure maps, and even a powerful underwater armor set—all obtainable exclusively through fishing.

🎣 New Enchantments

All custom enchantments are fished, not found in loot tables or traded.

Water Trail – Leaves a water path on the arrow (not compatible with Flame).
Ender Hook – Teleports where the rod lands.
Hooked Strike – Rods can damage now.
Dolphin’s Grace – Gives Dolphin's Grace effect.
Sea Lure – An enhanced version of Lure, reaching level V for ultra-fast catches (not compatible with Lure).
Treasure Hunter – A superior Luck of the Sea alternative, also up to level V (not compatible with Luck of the Sea).

👿 New Boss: Elder Drowned

A terrifying oceanic monstrosity created from the fusion of a drowned warrior, an Elder Guardian’s essence.

🫀 How to Summon It

Fish the “Heart of the Elder Drowned” (Extremely rare treasure catch).
Build an altar of Prismarine Bricks with water in the center.
Throw the Heart into the water.
The sea will tremble… and the Elder Drowned will rise.

🎁 Rewards

Defeating the Elder Drowned grants a generous amount of experience and a secret trident enchantment, exclusive to this boss and unobtainable in any other way.

You can now fish up ocean exploration maps that guide you to:

Ocean Monuments
Ruined Portals
Shipwrecks
Underwater Ruins
Boat (new)

Your fishing rod becomes the ocean’s ultimate navigation tool.

🐢 Turtle Armor – End-Game Underwater Gear

An extremely rare treasure obtainable only through fishing, the Turtle Armor Set serves as an aquatic counterpart to modified Netherite.

Armor Benefits:

Grants Conduit Power while swimming
Provides Resistance I
Enhances several underwater quality-of-life attributes
Tailored for ocean exploration and underwater combat

🐠 Real Ocean Creatures on the Hook

Fishing no longer gives you only item-based fish. Now you can hook any type of marine creature, from fish mobs to drowned, guardians, squids, turtles, and more. Hooked mobs are pulled toward you, turning fishing into a more dynamic and action-oriented mechanic.

🐠 Special Fishes

Now you have a small chance of catching special fishes that can give you special potion effects, such as resistance or haste!

⚓ Barrel Ship (Shipwreck Barrels)

While fishing, you can reel in special Barrel Ships, which are barrels originating from shipwreck cargo. They contain rare supplies, lost treasures, and exclusive nautical loot.
