Description

What this mod does

Random Achievements adds silly, funny, and sometimes helpful achievements to Minecraft. When you complete one, you get a reward (items). Progress is shown in chat: press J or run /ra progress to see the full list. Everything appears in chat.

Why you might want Random Achievements

I originally made this mod because everytime I would play with my friends, we'd find that Survival lacks side quests and goals. So if you want extra goals in survival with your friends (that are sometimes a bit ridiculous), or you want a light layer of "achievements with rewards" without changing core gameplay, this mod adds that. It works in singleplayer and on server; and the progress is saved per player.

What you need to know before downloading

  • Requires Fabric for Minecraft 1.21.x and Fabric API.
  • Client and server: Install on both if you play multiplayer; the progress is stored on the server.
  • Progress resets on death! (by design) Random Achievements are meant to be re-earnable.
  • Hidden Achievements Certain achievements do NOT have a description (replaced by ???). You'll have to mess around to figure out how to get them!

How to use

  • View your Progress: Press J (default key) or run /ra progress. The list of random achievements appears in chat; scroll up if the list cuts off.
  • In-game help: Run /ra in the chat to see a short reminder.
  • Completing an achievement automatically grants the reward and shows a toast; nothing is needed to claim!
