Description

Mojang removed fireflies from the game, so this mod adds them back! Includes spawn eggs and naturally spawning fireflies to add ambiance to the game. This mod is meant to improve the ambient environment of Minecraft to increase immersion while playing modded Minecraft. The fireflies' glow and slowly fly around your world, adding more interest while you explore your world. Currently for 1.20.1 Forge and Fabric, though Forge receives more regular updates. Mod now includes bottling mechanic! Update in progress to add a placeable lantern, since this has been my most asked for addition to the mod.
