Dual Wielding

Gauntlets can be used in the offhand, as well as the main hand. By right clicking, players can attack with a gauntlet in their left hand, even with another weapon in their main hand.

Armor or Weapon?

Gauntlets do about half the damage of swords of the same type. Gauntlets also provide armor equivalent to a pair of boots (each).
