📦 Modpack Description: Found Footage – A Fanmade Horror Experience

⚠️ Disclaimer

This is a fanmade modpack created to bring together existing mods into a single, cohesive horror experience. I do not claim ownership of any mods included. All credit goes to the original developers—please support their amazing work!

🎮 Overview

Found Footage is a lightweight, Fabric-based modpack designed for fans of analog horror, creepy liminal spaces, and unsettling mystery. Inspired by the viral Backrooms concept, this modpack centers around the immersive Found Footage Mod, delivering a chilling, immersive experience that captures the uncanny feeling of being lost in a place you were never meant to find.

Focused entirely on tone and immersion—with no unnecessary content to distract you—this pack is perfect for solo explorers or small multiplayer groups looking to dive into something weird, tense, and unforgettable.

🛠️ Core Mods Included

  • Found Footage Mod – The centerpiece. Explore looping, surreal, dreamlike environments straight from analog horror nightmares.

  • Simple Voice Chat – Adds proximity-based voice communication for deeply immersive multiplayer.

  • GeckoLib – A required library that enables dynamic animations and visual effects.

  • Fabric API – The core mod that allows most Fabric mods to run properly.

📌 Key Features

  • Analog horror and Backrooms-inspired gameplay

  • Liminal space exploration in looping, eerie environments

  • Proximity voice chat for terrifying multiplayer realism

  • Lightweight and optimized for performance

  • Clean, minimalist setup—focused entirely on atmosphere

🕳️ How to Enter the Backrooms

To "noclip" into the Backrooms, you must die by suffocation—but not just any kind.
Only non-liquid suffocation will work. That means:

✅ Suffocation from sand, gravel, or other solid blocks
Drowning will not work

This mechanic is intentional to preserve the eerie, grounded nature of the transition. You’ll know when it happens...

🧪 Useful Commands (Just in case reality breaks…)

If you're running custom events, filming content, or just want a little control over the chaos, these commands have you covered:

  • /skinwalker <target>
Force-spawns the skinwalker and has it take the identity of the specified target. Great for horror events—or to scare your friends. 👀

  • /release <target>
Releases the player from the skinwalker's control, restoring their identity.

  • /backroomsevent <event>
Manually triggers a Backrooms-related event. Perfect for cinematic moments or RP scenarios.

  • /gimmemyinventoryback <target>
Restores a player’s saved inventory from before they entered the Backrooms.

🙈 Hide Command Feedback (For Maximum Immersion)

Don’t want Command executed messages breaking the vibe? Here's how to hide them:

🔧 If You're Using Essentials:

  1. Press "Esc" --> World Host Setting --> Uncheck "Send command feedback"

  2.  Done

🌐 If You’re Using a Standard Serverpack Setup:

  1. Open: server.properties in your server folder

  2. Add or edit this line:

        sendCommandFeedback=false
  3. Save and restart your server.

This keeps chat clean and immersive when using custom commands or scripting events.

✅ Ideal For:

  • Let’s Plays, horror short films, and immersive content creation

  • Multiplayer horror roleplay servers

  • Solo exploration into the eerie unknown

  • Custom maps, liminal storytelling, and creative experimentation

Thank you for checking out Found Footage: A Fanmade Horror Experience.

If you encounter issues, have suggestions, or want to share your creepy creations using this modpack—please do! I’d love to see how deep into the Backrooms you go...
