Summary

Archipelago Additions is an expansion for the Isle of Berk mod which adds many additional dragons. This is facilitated by Nord_Act's Isle of Berk Variant Loader, which allows us to add remodelled variants of existing dragons without replacing those which are already present. This means, however, that abilities may be mismatched to those from the HTTYD franchise.

Additionally, you can find many HTTYD related Items, Armours, Weapons, Blocks, Plants, & more! 

Furthermore, Archipelago Additions includes reskins of vanilla features, such as IoB themed GuI & turning pillagers into Dragon Hunters!

Details

• Improved Animations, new Variants, and better Rider position for all 12 base IoB Dragons
• 41 new dragon species from the HTTYD Franchise, including 1 from the books & 5 official Hybrids!
• 5 new non-official Hybrid Dragon Species & 1 entirely new species!
• Over 600+ different dragon variants across the board!
• All Dragons can now be groomed for Dragon Scales & other dragon related items based on their species! These scales can be used for a variety of crafting recipes, with even a few being able to be used in Brewing!
• Wild & Refined Dragon Root that can aggro or pacify dragons!
• 10 new Structures to be found across your world! Ranging from Sentinel Nests (or is it dragon graveyards?), to the giant Dragon Hunter Flag Ships, to even Trader Johann's ship!
• 3 new Fire Retardant Armour sets! Whether you're a Dragon Rider looking for a Flight Suit, or a Dragon Hunter looking for some protection, there's a new set of armour for you!
• New Dragon Proof Metal Weapon Sets! Slightly heavier than Gronckle Iron but much more gnarlly, these weapons are perfect for any aspiring Dragon Hunter.
• 19 new Viking Artifacts! Have you ever wanted to fend off blows with Hiccups Shield or take the fight to the Dragon Hunters with Astrid's Axe? Well now you can!
• A new Villager Profession, the Dragon Hunter Trader! They deal in dragon parts & runes, and require a Dragon Hunter Stall Block to restock! They can be crafted or found aboard the Dragon Hunter Flag Ship!
• Vanilla reskins & reworks now turn Pillagers into Dragon Hunters, turns the Wandering Merchant into Trader Johann (with new and improvied trades), & much more!
• An included Optional Resource Pack that provides an IoB themed GUI & HTTYD themed Banner Patterns!
• IoB Addons Dragon Cage has been reskinned & reworked into the Thunder Horn! No more caging your beloved dragons when instead you can just dismiss and recall them when needed!

Install Requirements

Archipelago Additions requires Forge 40.2.10 or above & the following mods to be installed:

Geckolib (1.18.2-3.0.46)

Isle of Berk (1.18.2-1.2.0)

Isle of Berk Variant Loader (1.18.2-2.5.6)

Isle of Berk Addons (1.18.2-1.1d)

Additionally, for the new dragons to spawn correctly you'll need to install the modified configs AFTER loading Archipelago Additions for the first time (but BEFORE making your world!)

Archipelago Additions is a project made by LuckiestLycan (Lycanwing), Mqzikeen, SakuraBabochka, Gecko_sauce, DragonTamer, and Blue. It contains assets by Ness, Immersed, VLS, and Will (of the NBD (New Berk's Dawn) team), and MazingA, Roar, and SomeGuy (of the NBD community). Our license is and shall remain ARR, to protect these assets of which we have use and distribution permissions but not ownership. Most dragon models use IoB models as a base due to hardcoded rigging dependencies making it impractical to scratch model. Archipelago Additions  does not claim to have made these models, they were created by the IoB team and now belong to NBD. We are permitted use of these IoB base assets provided we remain as an addon to IoB and/or NBD and do not claim to have made them. These credits may change as necessary. They will always be correct to the most recent release of this mod. Archipelago Additions is also not affiliated with the official How to Train Your Dragon franchise or Dreamworks animation.
