Inspired by Craisin Lord's integrated structure mods, T.O Magic 'n Extras (formerly known as T.O Tweaks) is an Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks addon that also integrates many popular mods like Cataclysm and Alex's Caves. The mod introduces a variety of unique and rare spells, with a mix of original spells and those derived from its dependencies. In addition, it features rare weapons, each with its own abilities and levels, as well as various accessories like staves, spellbooks, and unique curios. T.O Magic 'n Extras is designed to expand spell, weapon, and curio options while integrating seamlessly with its dependencies.

New Bosses:

The Nightwarden

The Nightwarden:

  • Attributes:

The Nightwarden is a very powerful multiphase boss found only within the Void Cathedral, a rare structure that spawns in the End dimension. Built around heavy magic interaction, he's best challenged using Iron's Spellbooks (ISS) magic types, though melee players can still stand a chance—if they know what they’re doing.

Throughout the fight, the Nightwarden shifts between three distinct phases, each demanding different approaches. He cycles through 12+ telegraphed attack patterns, each with their own timing and tells.

This isn’t just another tanky boss (although he is really tanky if you don't know what you're doing) —he comes with unique mechanics like damage adaptation, resurgence scaling, and counterspell windows, rewarding smart play and build variety.

Defeating him grants you rare loot including Stellothorn, a throwable scythe that returns to you and heals on hit, along with crafting materials for powerful gear and spells.

All of it ties back to a carefully written loreline, woven through items, books, and his environment—making the Nightwarden not just a fight, but a part of something greater.

 

New Magic School (Aqua):

With the new update of the mod v4.0.0. It now adds a new school which is themed around water and is called Aqua.

To expand upon the new school, it adds Spells, New Structure, New mobs, Armor and Equipments!!

Custom Spells:

This mod includes custom spells. Some spells may not have damage scaling with spell power, but other aspects of these spells will definitely scale, so spell power still remains useful. Here is the spells that currently in the mod and may be found in the wilds:

Aqua:

Aqua Missiles:

  •  Fires a rapid succession of water bolts that deal damage and home in on nearby entities.

Bubble Spray:

  •  Sprays a stream of bubbles that deals damage, slows affected entities, and applies the Wet effect.

Coral Barrage:

  • Cast to mark targets, unleashing a barrage of coral bolts at the end of recasting. Bolts damage, pierce, and shatter into shrapnel, dealing AoE damage within a 2-block radius.

Echo Of The Abyss:

  •  Summons a Hullbreaker to fight and protect the caster. Can be used as an underwater mount, granting water breathing while ridden. Can only be obtained from defeating Hullbreaker.

Flood Slash:

  • Unleashes a aqua-infused slash projectile that deals damage and converts damage dealt into Mana for the caster. Hitting multiple entities increases the caster's Mana regeneration temporarily.

Floodgate:

  • Imposes a damage cap on the caster, ensuring that any incoming damage exceeding the threshold is reduced to the cap. When damage surpasses the threshold, waves surge outward in all directions, dealing damage.

Hydroshot:

  •  Fires a small water bolt that deals damage, slows enemies, and applies the wet effect.

Jet Steam:

  •  Generates a powerful surge that propels the caster at high speed while using elytra or swimming underwater, granting temporary water breathing.

Rainfall:

  •  Calls down a rainstorm that grants immunity to negative effects for the caster and applies the Wet effect to everyone within.

Tidal Grasp:

  • Pulls a targeted entity toward the caster, striking them with force to deal damage while applying a Stun and the Wet effect.

Tsunami:

  • Call forth an unstoppable tide that surges forward, slamming into enemies, dealing damage, sweeping them away, and applying wet effect.

Vortex Of The Deep:

  • Conjures a massive water vortex that pulls entities toward its center, slowing them and applying Wet effect. The vortex periodically discharges Boltstrikes to devastate those within it's radius.

Skypiercer:

  • Calls down a phantom Trident Of Eternal Maelstrom from the sky, dealing impact damage in an area. The trident remains, pulsing for 50% of the impact damage at intervals and inflicting Tidal Torment, causing thrown Trident Of Eternal Maelstrom to explode in an area and slowing affected enemies. Requires Trident Of The Eternal Maelstrom to cast this spell.

Serpentide:

  • Summons a cascade of Storm Serpents that strike down in a straight line one after another, dealing damage and applying Wet effect. Damage ignores i-frames. Can only be obtained by defeating Scylla.

The Howling Tempest:

  • After a 3s charge, conjures a raging tempest that rains down water spears, dealing damage and applying Wet effect. Each hit has a 50% chance to either increase the Wet amplifier (up to 10x) or extend its duration by 2s. Can only be obtained by defeating Scylla.

Herald Of Acropolis:

  • Conjures a loyal Clawdian to fight and protect you. Can only be obtained by defeating a Clawdian.

Overflow:

  • Causes water to erupt from the ground that spreads into a wide pool. The pool continuously applies Aqua Spell Power scaling Wet effect to anything inside it. The Wet effect grows stronger over the spell’s duration, reaching its maximum intensity as the spell ends.

Blood:

Blood Howl:

  • Cast to shoot wither howitzer projectiles at your target. This spell has recasts.

Eek:

  • Eek

Vigor Siphon:

  • Cast to connect with your nearest summon. Damage dealt by the summon heals you, and your damage heals the summon in return. If you die while tethered, the linked summon is sacrificed to restore you with 8hp

Nocturnal Swarm:

  • Cast to summon deadly swarm of Vesper.

Call Forth The Dead King:

  • Summons an Enraged Dead King boss to challenge you. Defeating it grants a higher chance of obtaining high-quality loot, including the exclusive spell Blackout. The Enraged Dead King can cast additional powerful spells. The high mana cost is intensional to make it only castable from scrolls. Can only be found in Catacombs Chests.

Eldritch:

Abyssal Blast:

  • Cast to fire a devastating beam of abyssal energy in a straight line. While active, caster cannot move or look around. Can only be found by defeating The Leviathan.

Reversal:

  • Reverses any incoming damage with increased power. Additionally, it can copy incoming projectiles. But you have to time it right!

Shadowed Miasma:

  • Inflicts nearby enemies with the abyssal curse effect and infuses your weapon with the same curse. Dealing damage to an enemy during the effect has a chance to spread the effect to nearby enemies.

Spectral blink:

  • After activation, the caster has 3 seconds. During this time, they can teleport to any entity they are looking at, even through walls. Any entities within the teleportation range will be revealed to the caster.

Paralyzing Skreech: (needs Alex's Mobs)

  • Continuously pulsate sound blast to Shred Armor, Damage Nearby enemies and Applying Chilled effect. 2% of damage deal converted into lifesteal.

The Forgotten Beast:

  • Summon Forsaken, a powerful, rideable creature that fight alongside you. However, beware: its will is not fully tameable, and its ferocity may prove unpredictable. Can only be obtained by defeating Forsaken.

Blackout:

  • Creates a lingering anti-magic field that suppresses abilities within its radius. Players caught in the zone are unable to cast spells and use items. Moving within the field inflicts small damage. Can only be obtained by defeating the Enraged Dead King.

Psychic Bolts:

  • Select multiple targets on cast. On recast end, fires small projectiles that confuse targets on hit, making them prioritize attacking nearby non-player entities.

Apex Harvest:

  • Cast to consume up to 5 nearby Soul Apex and recharges the Cursed Wraithblade, instantly switching it into its Apex-Shot mode. Requires Cursed Wraithblade to cast this spell.

Ender:

Orbital Void:

  • Shoots Abyssal Orb projectiles in a circular pattern around the player, damaging entities. On the initial cast, Abyssal Orbs home in on nearby entities.

Void Eruption:

  • Shoots Void Howitzer Projectiles that explode and summon void runes in a radius. This spell can be recast.

Cursed Minefield:

  • On cast, summons Leviathan’s abyssal mines in a radius around the player. The mine placement is random, but they cannot go below the caster’s Y level.

Vortex Upeprcut:

  • Target an entity to create a Void Vortex, pulling them in. Teleport into it and unleash a crushing uppercut, dealing damage and sending foes flying upward.

Eternal Sentinel:

  • Conjure a friendly Ender Golem to protect and fight by your side. Can only be obtained by defeating Ender Golem.

Astral Sense:

  • Reveals the pathfinder of nearby entities in a radius. Normal casting alerts the caster about nearby threats, while Crouch casting helps sense loot, traps, and valuables like Arcane Debris.

Conjure Void Tomes:

  • Summon magical Void Tomes to fight by your side and unleash spell attacks upon your enemies.

Blink:

  • Low-cost, short-ranged teleport in the direction you're moving. Works omni-directionally.

Supernova:

  • Summon a collapsing star that builds in intensity over time. After a short delay, it erupts in a massive explosion, dealing heavy damage and gives birth to a supermassive black hole. The black hole pulls in nearby entities and continues to deal damage within its radius.

Shear Of The Stars:

  • Summons a dragon spirit that flies forward, passing through blocks and damaging enemies it hits. It leaves behind a stellar trail that deals damage over time to nearby enemies.

Evocation:

Ashen Breath:

  • Exhale a cloud of darkening ash, damaging and blinding creatures in its reach.

Lingering Strain:

  • Grants a effect; During that any burst damage you get will be split into 4 different smaller damage and will be dealt over time giving the caster time to recover.

Fire:

Annihilation:

  • Targets enemies and nukes them with a devastating spell that deals massive damage. Survivors are inflicted with a radiation effect, preventing incoming healing. Can only be  found from Toxic Caves ruins and by slaying Nucleepers.

Burning Judgement:

  • Creates Ignis flame strikes on the ground in a straight line for a duration. If the caster's health falls below 50%, the strikes transform into soul-fired flame strikes. Can only be obtained by defeating Ignis.

Lava Bomb:

  • Launches projectiles at a 45° angle in front of the caster, that explodes upon impact, creating lava pools. When cast, the spell absorbs nearby lava.

Meteor Storm:

  • Summons Ignis fireballs to rain down from the sky. If the caster's health falls below 50%, the fireballs transform into soul-fired projectiles.

Ignited Onslaught:

  • Cast to summon a Ignited Revenant & Berserker to protect you and fight for you. Can only be obtained by defeating Ignited Berserker and Ignited Revenant.

Gyro Slash:

  • Transform the Infernal Devastator into Blade Mode, slashing entities in front of you. Using an Infernal Devastator Evo 2 or higher creates a slash projectile that pulls in nearby entities with a fiery vacuum effect before bursting into flame jets.

Extinction:

  • Calls down a massive asteroid, smashing into the ground with incredible force. The impact devastates a large area, leaving a crater that erupts with searing heat, turning all within to ash.

Flames Reborn:

  • Ignite a wave of fire, marking your place in time. If you fall, the flames will resurrect you at your marked spot, restoring you to the health you had when it was cast.

Holy:

Solar Flare: (needs Mowzie's Mobs)

  • Grants an effect that continuously summons Umvuthi sunstrikes on enemies around the caster, similar to ISS's Thunderstorm.

Sunbeam: (removed in v0.7.0)

  • Grants an effect that continuously summons Umvuthi sunstrikes on enemies around the caster.

Nullflare:

  • Cast to inflict Nullflare Ice on enemies, or Crouch Cast to inflict Nullflare Fire; when Ice meets Fire, or vice versa, it triggers a Nullflare Blast, dealing damage. Additional effect stacks increase the Blast damage.

Sword Of The Ancients':

  • Summon kobolediator to fight by your side and unleash devastating melee attacks upon your enemies. Can only be obtained by defeating Kobolediator.

Desert Dwellers:

  • Summon Koboletons and Wadjet to fight by your side. Can only be obtained by defeating Koboletons and Wadjet.

Ice:

Cursed Blast:

  • Channel the essence of darkness, unleashing a cryogenic blast that shatters the resolve of those caught within. Amplified by absorbed soul fragments.

Despair:

  • Launches a magical Axe Blade forward on the look direction piercing through entities in its path. Deals damage to all caught in its trajectory.

Halberd Horizon:

  • Summons Phantom Halberds in the battlefield around the caster, damaging entities caught in it. Can only be obtained by defeating Maledictus.

Sticky Steed:

  • Conjure a Gum Worm that will follow you around, let you ride. Also protect, and fight for you. Can only be obtained by defeating Gum Worm.

Cursed Revenants:

  • Cast to summon random draugr variants that'll protect you and fight for you.

Axe Of The Doom:

  • Summon a Aptrgangr to fight by your side and unleash devastating melee attacks upon your enemies. Can only be obtained by defeating Aptrgangr.

Lightning:

Death Laser:

  • Cast to shoot The Harbinger Laser beam in a straight line. While active, caster cannot move or look around.

EM-Pulse:

  • Cast to stun nearby entities for a short duration. Stunned enemies has a visual indicator.

Rapid Laser:

  • Continuously shoots Harbinger's pew-pew laser to targeted entities.

Magnetron Deployment:

  • Cast to deploy a Magnetron that will follow, protect, and fight for you. Can only be obtained by defeating Magnetron.

Mechanized Predators:

  • Cast to deploy Watchers and The Prowler that will follow, protect, and fight for you. Can only be obtained by defeating The Watcher and The Prowler.

Galena Shatter:

  • Slams the ground with Galena energy, releasing a magnetic shockwave that damages enemies and converts any Scarlet or Azure Charges into corresponding Marks. Marked targets take continuous damage over 1.5s, ignoring i-frames. When the effect ends, a final magnetic burst triggers, pulling opposite-marked entities and pushing away those with the same mark. Requires Galenic Polarizer to cast this spell.

Nature:

Earthshatter: (needs Mowzie's Mobs)

  • Grants a effect; during that, Right-clicking or holding the ground will raise block that can be shoot by attacking it.

Stele Cascade:

  • Summons Ancient Desert Stele in a radius, crashing down and dealing damage.

Aerial Collapse:

  • Inflict an effect that lifts enemies into the air for 2.5 seconds before crushing them down to the floor, dealing percentage-based damage to their health. The damage dealt ignores any kind of damage cap.

Primal Pack:

  • Summon Vallumraptors and Tremorsaurus to fight by your side. Can only be obtained by defeating Vallumraptors and Tremorsaurus.

Primordial Steed:

  • Summon a Atlatitan that will follow you around, let you ride. Also protect, and fight for you. Can only be obtained by defeating Luxtructosaurus.

 

Powerful Weapons:

The original goal of the mod was to offer high-quality weapons that complement Iron’s Spells and other mods. That’s why it includes a diverse range of weapons. These weapons can be upgraded using materials dropped by their respective themed bosses, a process we call Evolutions. Through Evolutions, you can enhance the effectiveness of the weapon's passive abilities.

Abyssal Tidecaller [Scythe]:
Normal attacks have 50% chance to inflict Abyssal Curse, dealing damage-over-time for 5sec. Additional proc increases the damage tick-rate. stacking upto 5x.

Flames Of Eldritch [Katana]:
Normal attacks have 50% chance to inflict Blazing brand effect to enemies for 5sec, Reducing their Armor  by 4 and Armor toughness by 1 per level. Additional proc increases the strenght. stacking upto 3x

Thorn Of Oblivion [Polearm]:
Every 5th hit guarantees an Amethyst Cluster Projectile, launching in every direction.

Scourge Of The Sands [Polearm]:
Hold right-click 3sec to charge. When released it will summon Ancient Desert Steles on top of every enemies' heads within a 12-block radius. Crushing down and dealing damage, Max 10 targets.

Harbinger's  Wrath [Heavy sword]:
Successful hits on enemies has 15% chance to stun them with a mini EM-Pulse, for 3sec. Additional procs refreshes the duration.

Voidstrike Reaper [Scythe]:
Right-click to summon Void Runes in a circular pattern around you. The runes spawn in 8 waves in 15 ticks of delay between each wave ring, damaging all entities caught in their path.

Cursed Wraithblade [Gunblade]:
Souls are reaped with each strike, feeding the darkness. As the counter rises, Cursed Blast's cataclysmic power grows, amplified 50% by each soul's demise.

Mechanized Wraithblade [Gunblade]:

Each strike generates Plasma Core energy, serving as both ammunition and a boost to damage output. Stored Plasma Core powers a continuous laser beam when holding right-click.

The Obliterator [Mace]:

Normal attacks have 45% chance to inflict Abyssal Curse II on enemies, dealing damage-over-time for 5sec. Has higher Critical Damage against targets affected with Abyssal Curse.
Hold right-click for 2sec while wielding the weapon in both hands to conjure an Abyss Blast Portal in front. The portal unleashes a searing laser, obliterating anything in its line of fire.

Gauntlet Of Extinction [Gauntlet]:

Landing an attack grants a 45% chance to summon a Tremorsaurus spirit to deliver a crushing follow-up chomp.

Infernal Devastator [Gauntlet]:

Holding down right-click for 2.85sec fires 3 flare bombs in a 50-degree arc, exploding on impact and creating flame jets that scorch entities caught within. Activating the weapon's transformation puts it into an overloaded state, canceling other transformations.

Stellothorn [Scythe]:

Hold right-click to throw the scythe forward. It damages all enemies it passes through and returns automatically after 0.75 seconds. On striking the first enemy, it spawns a clone 8 blocks above their head, which drops down and deals additional damage in a 3.5-block radius and applies Abyssal Fear.

 

Armor Collections:

From the version 3.0.0, T.O Tweaks introduced armor collections:

Abyssal Hide Collection:
When wearing the full set, dropping below 75% health will cause Abyssal Orbs to shoot, homing in on nearby enemies and dealing damage. The damage scales with the wearer's Eldritch and Ender spell power. Can only occur once every 20sec.

Primordial Crest:
When wearing the full set, each time the wearer is hit, it triggers a shockwave that knocks back nearby entities and deals damage in a 5-block §fradius. The damage is scaled by fire spell power. Can only occur once every 20sec.

Tectonic Crest:
When wearing the full set, each time the wearer is hit, it triggers a shockwave that knocks back nearby entities, deals damage in a 5-block §fradius, and sets them on fire. The damage is scaled by Fire spell power. The wearer also gains fire resistance. Can only occur once every 20sec.

Cursed Wraithguard:
When wearing the full set, each hit fuels the Phantom Rage. When the rage reaches its maximum, the wearer is granted a powerful boost, increasing attack damage, spell power, and arrow damage for 15sec. If the wearer's health drops below 50%, §fthe effect is greatly enhanced. Can only occur once every 40sec.

Riptide Sovereign:
Dealing Aqua or Lightning magic damage builds Stormline from Initiate to Sovereign [Rank 1 - 5]. Each rank increases Final Aqua spell damage by +5% (additional +20% at Sovereign), with Lightning gaining half as much. Taking damage removes 1 rank and creates a lightning storm around the attacker that scales with Generic and Lightning spell power. Aqua builds Stormline faster than Lightning


 

New Curio Slot & Curio Items:

A new type of curio has been added to the mod: the "Augment." These corrupted curios significantly boost one attribute while lowering others. They come in five types and are obtainable from major bosses, mobs, or treasure chests.

  • Epic, Legendary, and Mythic augments provide set attribute boosts. Mythic augments can be blessed at the Amethyst Altar, transforming them into Blessed Augments with 20% reduced negative effects.

  • Wild augments are unique. By default, they have no attributes but gain random ones when right-clicked, costing XP. Each Wild augment guarantees one positive and one negative attribute, with a chance for an additional positive effect.



There is another new slot added named "Talent," which is used to wear Talent Curios. Talent Curios are a type of curio that changes how certain spells from this mod function, similar to how talents work in other games. Each Talent Curio has a dedicated slot count of 2, and you can wear them in their respective slot as well. For example, a Talent Necklace can be worn in both the Talent slot and the Necklace slot, offering more spell customization.

New Staffs and Spellbooks or Boss Themed Accessories:

Several boss or elite mob themed staffs, spellbooks, and accessories have been introduced, each featuring unique bonuses and inscribed spells tailored to their theme.

 

Items and Music Discs:

Items such as ingots, weapon upgrade materials, and a lore-filled music disc have been added. These can be obtained by defeating bosses, elite entities, through trading, or found in treasure chests.

Why your project is Closed Source and How can we get access to it?

In the past, I had some unfortunate experiences with my college projects (personal matters) that left me with trust issues. Let’s just say I’ve developed a sort of trauma, and it’s hard for me to trust people easily. Since I’m fairly new to this community, I feel the need to be cautious. That’s why my projects are currently closed-source. However, if I stay in the modding scene long enough and build more trust, I might consider making them open-source in the future.

Will you make compatibility with [X] mod?

  • Compats might happen here and there but no more hard dependencies. It's already required 2 content mods.

Can you remove [X] mod from being a hard dependency?

  • Alex's Caves, Cataclysm will always be a hard dependency, cause they are pertty well integrated.

How do I get the new spells?

  • As you do with Iron's Spellbooks. Same process. Some spells might have a unique way to obtain (like defeating a entity or finding in loot chests), in which case it should be mentioned on that specific spell's description.

Why this weird a** name?

  • This mod was originally planned for my modpack named TravelOptics.. this the name TO Tweaks came from.. but then I made this mod for everyone to use!
