GregTech: True age of Steam

GTCeu Addon that focuses on steam production. It provides new machines and multiblocks all connected to ultimate goal for increased steam production.

Coating shrine

Simple pre-LV multiblock that allows one to infuse materials with fluid properties. Fluid in the middle of multiblock determines which recipes are appliable. Fluid can perform 100 crafting recipes, before it will disappear. Right-clicking on controller will provide information about amount of crafting left.

Infernal boiler

Infused with powers of blazed, infernal boiler is perfect machine to produce steam. It actually produces superheated steam.

It has two main mechanics: Heat and charging.

Each crafting will boost its heat. Upon reaching certain threshold, heat level will increase, boosting amount of parallel crafting. But most important heat level is Supreme - at this level boiler will start overheating recipes that can be overheated, increasing amount of output fluids (Default formula is x (3 + coil level)). When boiler is not working, heat level drops with speed based on coils (better coils, lower drop).

Boiler also has charges. When their amount is depleted, boiler will lose ability to perform any recipes expect recipes that will provide additional charges to it.

So for optimal setup one want to maintain boiler working continuously on supreme level and perform charging recipe once in a while to avoid heat level dropping.

Cooling box

Cooling box is new multiblock that exists to provide passive cooling, mostly for charging fluid that was used for the boiler. Cooling box aggregate cooling capacity passively based on level of cooling coils and then spends it on performing cooling crafts. Right-clicking on controller will reveal amount of aggregated cooling capacity, maximal cooling capacity depends on cooling coils.

New single block boilers

Addon also adds new tiers of single-block boilers.

Lava coated boilers produced as upgrades from high-pressure boilers and lava-coated steel plates. They produce x1.5 of high pressure boilers.

Infernal boilers locked behind MV, since infernal alloy requires aluminum ingots and they will produce x2 of high pressure boiler variants.

Extra information for modpack developers

Infernal boiler tuned to produce around 2670 EU/t in superhot steam while working at MV and using Cupronickel coils. Better coils will produce better results. There are several ways to tune this number, one can use this excel sheet to tune parameters to your liking. Superheat coeficient adjustable in configuration, the rest is just recipe editing. After chaning recipe you need to rebuild boiler, because it by default caches recipe and call it again and again while it can so (default GTCeu logic for recipe search)
