Description

Saves chunks continuously over time, reducing server lag and preventing lagspikes from saving too many chunks at once.

Vanilla 1.18: Server with 3 players. Chunk saving takes ~ 11% of the server tick.

With smooth chunk saving: 0.3% of the server tick

Depending on some varying factors this can give you up to 10% more server side performance effectively, with no downsides.

Additionally it can also repair broken POI's (points of interest) which can cause villager to behave erratically

Server here also applies to playing in single-player worlds, as those are running an integrated server.

Requires Cupboard dependency to be installed in newer versions

  • Set the time interval after which a chunk is saved
  • Set how many chunks can get unloaded at once
  • Enable debug logging
    Only Required on server side(Integrated/Dedicated)

No known incompatibilities, should work fine with any mod.
