I recommend using Structure Layout Optimizer for a smoother experience.

This mod adds (currently 52) new Dimensions, and with them new entities and other stuff to your world. Every Dimension either has an important aspect of horror, or a major phobia centered around it.

Here is some important information about the mod:

The purple Blocks (or the entity) lead you into a random dimension, or maybe back to the overworld.
The exits generate randomly as a structure. Look out for bright lights.
In the dark dimension, fight off the eyes with a flashlight. the flashlight can be crafted. The recipe is unlocked by a battery, found in chests.
You are safe at the surface of the infinite ocean.
Lore books can be hidden in many dimensions.
In Multiplayer, every Player in an 128-Block radius will be teleported if a Player enters a dimension. If you get split up by teleporting, but are still in the same dimension, do not use /tp. Everything works as intended.
Use /unstuck if softlocked.
For the endings, start by collecting "Shards of Power". You get them by beating a secret dimension.
