Vanilladendron is a work-in-progress, JAPPA-inspired, vanilla-style

resource pack for the Prehistoric Nature mod for Minecraft 1.12.

This resource pack is not complete, but currently includes new textures for dozens of blocks, many items, and every plant and terrain block found within the Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, and Permian dimensions. I plan to continue working on this resource pack in my spare time, however I am a full time college student and thus development may be inconsistent. If a texture or model looks untouched, I probably just haven’t gotten to it yet!

I recommend using alongside a 1.14+ resource pack, and Better Water.

My goals for completing this resource pack are as follows:

Retextures for all blocks, such that they are all reasonable choices to build with alongside default vanilla blocks
Retextures for most items, likely excluding the hundreds of meat textures for the animals
Simplified, vanilla-style remodels for overly complex block models where possible
Fixed UV mapping and z-fighting

Why Vanilladendron?

The suffix "-dendron" comes from Ancient Greek, meaning “tree,” and is commonly used in the scientific names of many trees, including several of the extinct ones retextured by this resource pack. In addition, the internal name for the Prehistoric Nature mod is Lepidodendron, in reference to the first plant added by early versions of the mod. It seemed fitting to allude to both of these in the name of this resource pack.
