Antlers of Hunger

 **Antlers of Hunger is a creature-stalker horror mod with a focus on combat & atmosphere.** This mod adds the **Wendigo** from the 2021 Film **"Antlers"** into Minecraft, adapting it into the blocky realm and keeping things accurate with a bit of creative freedom! There are **2 visually distinct** skins for the Wendigo available, as signified by **VIBRANT** and **MOVIE** versions of the mod in the files section, use VIBRANT for the black-white-red version good for thumbnails and snowy biomes, and MOVIE for the darker brown with a glowing chest version good for movie accuracy and map immersion. **Required mods: GECKOLIB** Recommendations: Intended to be experienced with the official **Antlers of Hunger - The Experience** modpack, official **"Coal Creek Basin"** map and **custom shader config** available in the modpack, also meant to be experienced as the only threat / horror mod in a modpack. [](https://discord.com/invite/HGYq2nJwGT) The **Wendigo** will **awaken** shortly after you join your world and will begin to **roam on its own**, making its presence felt with **distant screeches and roars**. The **Wendigo** is an **intelligent stalker** and will go through **multiple behaviours** before fully **attacking** you. You'll catch glimpses of it **roaming in the distance, stalking** through the woods on its own. **It watches** from a far or occasionally **feasts on the animals**, desparately trying to satiate its **infinite hunger**. **Creeping through the woods** you will hear it **scream** and **push trees apart** on its way to you. When it does **get closer** to you, it acts **incredibly aggressively** , violently charging as it starts the **combat part** of this mod: His attacks **hit hard** and **cannot be blocked by shield or armor**, he's able to **destroy blocks** when swinging his hands, and with **perfectly calibrated speed** making **escape nearly impossible**, you'll be forced to **fight back**. At your disposal there is an old **Hunting Knife** and a **Flare**. The **Knife** is a **crucial thing** required for **defeating the Wendigo** and the **Flare** allows you to **temporarily blind** the Wendigo to **get distance** or a window to **get a few hits** on him before he resumes his rampage. A few things have been left out of this description to not spoil some of the best encounters this mod has to offer and to keep the fear of not knowing what you're up against ;) This mod is a collaborative project and has been created by MSSHD, Azenski, ezY for the sake of bringing life and uniqueness back to the Minecraft Horror niche.
